My friend and I were about 14 years old. He stayed the night at my house and we started playing Resident Evil 2 at five that evening to five the next morning. We were into it, taking turns and all. Note that I have an ape-shit crazy ass cat at the time that would attack most anything at sight. Went to sleep to have a nightmare of a zombie eating at my foot. Woke up and the cat was attacking my foot, claws and teeth latched. Luckily my feet were under a comforter. Freaked the shit out me. :P

27,6-30k GDP per capita. 36,648 nominal GDP per capita, above Italy, Israel, Spain and South Korea and just below United Kingdom. According to CIA World Factbook they're above European Union. For such a remote country, that's pretty well (Australia is closer to Asia, is huge and has alot of mining resources). I'm sure the remoteness also contributes to the lower GDP (PPP)/capita in New Zealand's case, imported stuff costs alot.

Although I've heard and read that the income disparity rate in New Zealand is fairly high for a developed country. Not as high as in the United States, but higher than Australia and all of developed Europe afaik. It's caused mostly by the income gap between Maoris when compared to the rest of the country. 14.6% of people are Māori in NZ, while in Australia only 2.5% of the population is aborginal. I mention that fact because the indigenous population of Australia has it's fair share of social problems and economic inequality* too

Auckland is one of the most livable cities in the world

It has the worlds 5th highest human development index

Indigenous Australians experience higher than average rates of imprisonment and unemployment,[234] lower levels of education, and life expectancies for males and females that are 11–17 years lower than those of non-indigenous Australians.[216][235][236] Some remote Indigenous communities have been described as having "failed state"-like conditions.[237][238][239][240][241]
