I swear the last few times I've had Papa John's, every single time, my insides get destroyed. Pizza Hut seems like it'd be worse with how greasy it is here, but it never destroys me like Papa John's does.
Schlotzky's actually has decent pizza too. Had that recently.
Lately I'm doing well sticking to my healthier diet, but I do love Chipotle and Popeyes, so I still run by there sometimes. I still like Fazooli's too.
But how about Noodles & Co? Anyone have those around? Awesome stuff.

I remember ordering a Pizza Hut Pan pizza, and the bottom of the pizza box almost dropped out as it was soaked in oil.Ivo wrote:... but admittedly their pan pizzas are basically fried.
The pizza wasn't bad at all though.

^Oh yeah, I like Noodles and Co. Forgot about them.

There really isn't a sub place quite like Mikes. Not only is the food great, but their attention to detail and cleanliness for just a sub is phenomenal. I've never been disappointed with their food, nor have I been in a chain where they didn't have a perfect sanitation grade.CFFJR wrote:Damn it, I read Luke's list and suddenly I have a huge craving for Jersey Mikes.

I've only had one item from their menu. I fell in love at first bite with their reuben.Xeogred wrote: Schlotzky's actually has decent pizza too. Had that recently.
Not sure if they still sell it, but Schlotzky's used to sell some great tasting olive oil on the cheap.

I can eat Pizza Hut once in a while but there's so many actual Italian places where I am that have superior pizza that it seems silly to get a chain restaurant one.Xeogred wrote:I swear the last few times I've had Papa John's, every single time, my insides get destroyed. Papa John's is easily the worst though, I can't hack eating it either. One opened here for a few months and quickly went out of business because nobody would eat there.
Pizzas and hoagies are two things I will very rarely go to a chain place for.
I forgot about Popeyes since there aren't any nearby, they're not too bad though. I've had better chicken and I've had worse.

Popeye's is middle-of-the-road for me. It's not awesome like KFC or Church's, or mediocre like Lee's. It's somewhere in the neighborhood of the stuff they sell at the deli counter in Walmart.

It's true. Their subs are the best and that's coming from someone who eats a lot of subsLuke wrote:There really isn't a sub place quite like Mikes. My favorite fast foods have always been subs, pizza and burgers. Lately I'm really enjoying Hungry Howie's pizza. Thin ,garlic flavored crust, extra cheese, extra sauce, pepperoni and black olives.
I'm not too picky about burgers. I like just about anything from Wendy's, McDonalds or Burger King. Of the three I think Wendy's is the best though. Five Guys is great, though I don't go there often but when I do I'm happy. I generally don't like restaurant burgers. The damn things are too big and messy. Nothing really beats a good burger made on a grill at a neighbor's house I have to say. Something about having someone make a burger for you in front of you on a grill somehow makes it taste better than just having one handed to you at a drive through window.

We really disagree on this one. I like Popeye's, but KFC is not what it used to be. Its very rare for me to eat there, but when I do I always feel the urge to be a smart ass and ask them if I can get some chicken with my grease.BoringSupreez wrote:Popeye's is middle-of-the-road for me. I'm surprised more pizza chains don't have green olives.Gamerforlife wrote:

Wendy's has a $1 double burger that you can add lettuce, tomato, and onion for free. For me it's the best $1 burger by miles.
At McDonalds you can order a McDouble and ask to hold the ketchup and mustard and add lettuce, onion and special sauce. $1 big mac minus one bun. Or you can get crazy like the kids these days do and order a mcdouble and a mcchicken and combine them into one sandwich.
Never liked BK except for the crown hats you get for free, so I have no suggestions for ya.
