So, so sad right now.

The gentle giant was robbed of many great roles, and starred in many roles not worthy of his talent. Say what you will, but I have always believed a franchise could have been built around this somewhat hammy, but always earnest actor.

In some ways Duncan was the Andre The Giant of a new decade, but he was not utilized to his potential. He was type-cast, which is understandable, and although not the best of performers, he always delivered.

Nerd moment: I've written a few LUKE CAGE scripts with Duncan as Cage and Tiny Lister as his adversary, and I always hoped Duncan would do more in the comic realm other than being less than sub par.

Less acting ability and less charisma. But then I never cared much for Cage.

Iron fist was always the more interesting of the duo.

So it was last night I watched it properly on BR as opposed to having only seen it on TV when I was younger, but how the heck did Logan's Run get away with a PG rating with nudity? Also I think all of the wardrobe budget was used up on the brightly colored fabric because obviously they had no money left over for bras.

"Eraserhead" is completely OK, but simple and a bit gross for Lynch. Felt like it was meant to disgust more than disturb, which isn't really his style.

"Rubber," on the other hand, has to be one of the best films of all time (certainly on my top 20), and the Blu-Ray quality is astounding, especially when you consider that the entire thing was shot on a $3,000 camera. Probably the most aesthetically appealing movie, ever.

I don't think its meant to disturb at all. I see it as David Lynch's Fear of Fatherhood.
