I rarely eat fast food. If I do, it's something from Subway, Panera, or Chipotle. Even at those places, I refuse to eat anything containing meat; factory-farmed stuff isn't good for anyone or anything.

On the subject of Fast Food Nation: It's good, but not nearly as good as The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan. Pollan focuses a lot on how corn is taking over our food chain, which is an important story that doesn't get much coverage in Fast Food Nation.
Consoles: NES, SNES, DC, PS2, PSP, PS3, 3DS, PS4.

Ah, I'd forgotten about Chik Fil-A, I'd put that up there with my first submission, Checkers. Also, Mos Burger. If you go to Japan stop in at a Mos Burger, very good stuff.

Ok, I eat fast food but I eat mostly chicken- and yes, I've been to chicken farms and seen the treatment and I once owned chickens myself, so I'm not a totally ignorant consumer looking for a good rush of fatty foods... BUT- I still eat fast food because they have a dollar menu. I've also worked in a Zaxby's before which doesn't appear to have any beef in the ingredients, but I can't be sure.

Also, since it was mentioned, Super Size Me was a "good"-as in thought-provoking- documentary but some of the editing bothered me. There was a point when he had the opportunity to interview someone and glean some insight, but just before he answered he paused, making him look like he was speechless, and right before he spoke they cut to another scene. Little things like that were bothersome, and for anyone to take that documentary as a serious scientific "experiment" they probably think the Mythbusters are using basic rigor... After his movie came out there were several other experiments done by researchers around the world and results were very different. A person eating at McD's everyday for every meal and eating only the amount of calories they need does not get sick and fat, but the documentary did show how drastically changing one's diet can have serious side effects.

What are your 5 favorite and 5 worst fast-food chains?

5 Favorite:

1. Sonic's Drive-In - Such awesome burgers and so many tasty drink combinations. Plus fantastic ice cream treats. And if that doesn't tickle your fancy, then how about a sandwich, hot dog, tacos, chicken fingers, chili; the selection is amazing!

2. Quizno's Subs - Man am I in love with their toasted subs. So tasty. And they don't skimp on the meat, cheese, and sauce (*cough*Subway*cough*), which is the best part of the sandwich, IMO. That Mesquite Chicken sandwich is heaven on bread.

3. Taco Bell - What can I say? I like tacos.

4. Long John Silver's - I'm also a sucker for seafood. And there's just something about Long John's Silver's batter.

5. Carl's Jr. - Best fast-food chain burgers you can get, IMO. Of course BBQ or mom & pop places are often better, though.

5 Worst:

1. Panda Express - They have the nerve to call that crap Chinese food?

2. Wendy's - Everything is just so bland there.

3. Pizza Hut - All the ingredients taste cheap. Which sucks because they do have good ideas for pizza like cheese-stuffed crust.

4. Subway - Because they think a sandwich should be 80% lettuce.

5. Jamba Juice - Because I'm a grown man and I don't drink my meals.

I am really not a fast food fan, but I could never turn down a burrito from Chipotle or a burger from Five Guys.

Five guys is awesome but I don't consider them to be fast food. It to me is in a inbetween spot from fast food and a real meal.

Both Chipotle and Five Guys are pretty up there in food quality, but they are still considered to be quick order restaurants. But you're right, I can consider Five Guys way more than fast food.
