Peter Molyneux's vanity project

This article, despite its prosaic wording, sums up my thoughts regarding Molyneux's latest not-so-earth-shattering project. I'm curious to learn of the ultimate prize, just not enough to actually waste my time partaking in this frivolous affair.

Molyneux wants to be an artist, he wants respect, and he's forgetting that shitting and calling it art is terribly unoriginal.

EDIT: I think it's related to the fact that he has not made a good game since 2001.

He has made good games. Actually, most of his games are actually that, just good.

He hasn't made any groundbreaking titles since 2001.

Molyneux could use some humble pie.

Oh, this looks like the shittiest thing ever.

He could team up with the Cow Clicker dev to take on such awe inspiring endeavors. They seem to have the same vision.

"Peter Molyneux's vanity project" doesn't really narrow down what you're talking about. You could apply that to every game he's made since his name became known.

Well, it depends on where you set the bar. I'm apparently harsher than most

I haven't paid attention Molyneux since he promised the same greatness for fable 2 that he promised (& did not deliver) for fable. I was so disappointed.

He could swing the other direction in his statements and say his next game will be absolutely shit, undewhelming, unoriginal and actually reactionary gameplay-wise - as opposed to revolutionary.

At least once he would be able to deliver, and might actually exceed expectations.

That's interesting to hear -- I felt the same way about II and III. Loved the former, despised the latter. I came to the franchise late, though, and haven't yet played the original. What did you feel he promised but didn't deliver in II?
