Anybody Import albums?

Post by sleepylemur »

I like a lot of foreign music that isn't always easy to find in the US. Wondering if any of you have any sites aside from ebay and Amazon that you use to import albums? I prefer physical copies of my stuff, otherwise I'd use iTunes.
Thanks.

I import a few Japanese albums. I use Amazon Japan, HMV Japan, or CDJapan.

I have a ton of imported CDs I've bought over the years, though most of them have been purchased at good actual music stores which I'm lucky to have in Houston. Otherwise the second main source has been ebay.

I will agree with Sleepylemur that CDJapan is good though. I haven't ordered there in quite some time, but I used to have a friend that ordered from there all the time and everything always went smoothly. I occasionally tacked things on her orders.

I've got a good chunk of CDs from Japanese bands, but they were all albums released through US distributors, so I don't know if that counts.

My copy of Strapping Young Lad - Heavy as a Really Heavy Thing is a Japanese one though...

We used to have two really good music stores in my area, but both closed down. I've used ebay a few times. Not that I'm super cheap but some of it gets rather expensive to get. Most of my stuff is from Sweden, Germany, Finland, which has slowly gotten easier to find.

Thanks for the help guys.
