I've had them price an item and it'll sit for a long time and they'll look up the price again in their system and price drop it. I've also picked up games severely undervalued by their system. Usually luck of the draw.

my guess is that since they "recently" sold one, they've decided that it's demand is higher so they've adjusted accordingly? If that is the case, then that sucks bad. LOL. That means that the more retro we buy, the more they are gonna charge us as time goes on. Not cool. I remember Gamestop doing something similar with Lego Indiana Jones on the Wii. When it was discovered that you could use it to soft mod the wii, Gamestop would sell a used copy and then the person would return it, then they'd sell it again and again over and over. At one point, the brand new copy was $20, and the used copy was $40. I asked the manager what gives, and he just said.... ummm... I dunno? LOL.
Gamestop's pricing system is just bonkers. When I bought Space Invaders Extreme 2 DS,used were $8 and NEW was $5. I knew this as someone here pointed it out. When I was in line I kind you not the guy said "would you like to buy the used for $8, oh probably not". I then told him I also wanted the case and manual so I was going to get it new.
Makes me wonder if they're just trying to liquidate some of the new copies to get the cases of their shelves.

Indeed, and there were tons of pong machines released here back in the day. Sure there have been phases of Doom clones, Diablo clones, SFII clones, Tetris clones, and many others. But they aint got nuthin on the amount Pong clones there were back then, many of which were actually all the same 4 variants of pong/hockey/whatever on nearly every machine. :P

Not that the yellow boxed guy isn't cool. :)

Ok I didn't actually buy it, but I found a Korean version of a Super Famicom in a game store the other day. Called a Super Nintendo Comboy. It was distributed by Hyundai too. Thought it was funny that the place that has this didn't even know what they had or what a Turbografx-16 was when I asked. I almost bought it to rescue it from there.

I miss the Coleco one we had when I was a kid. My mother turned it in for some sort of rebate at one point. I took Dave's poor unloved boxed Bentley (that you said you had too Cookie?) and gave it a home.

I've just threatened someone with pong next hangout too.

They don't adjust it if it sells. The prices get adjusted when the HQ sends a update to their system or updates the system they connect to. They are usually dead on most retro game prices but I've gotten my share of very under priced games. :) Just be happy about it and walk out quickly with a good deal!
