Thank you to all racketboy memebers :D

Post by dreamcast4ever83 »

I know this may seem like a pointless post but for me, it is not. When I got started here I had a really hard time... Mind you I have never really been on any forums, this was honesly pretty foreign for me. I had gotten quickly frustrated with many people and downright upset.

I figured out that even though I had good intentions my lack of knowledge and good grammar did not help me at all and can infact be really annoying to other members.

I don't think it was my fault or yours but a bit of both. Some were trying to help me and polite and some I think honestly just did not like me much, which is okay.

While I did think I received some really harsh treatment by some and I still stand by that, I can also understand things on my part that were frustrating. Point being, a lot of you out there, member's and moderators, helped me out a lot by providing me tips, suggestions and also being encouraging to stick around here. I'm quite happy I did, because not only has this all calmed down quite a bit, but I actually really enjoy sharing my opnion and reading others whether it be a review, gameplay video's, information on upcoming games and existing game's especially racketboy's guides for rare games and so forth anything really really it's pretty endless.

This has also been a great place to buy stuff without the annoyances of ebay and reselling, or trade.
So pretty much what I'm saying is I love this forum and I just wanted to thank everyone here who were welcoming and helpful (even while picking on me  ) I wont name names but there a lot of you who know who you are so, thanks!

Also anyone new who might be reading this take heed to other advice, try not to argue too much, ignore trolls, and be patient it's really is a fantastic forum for anyone like me who loves retro gaming and does not wanna pre-order "Modern Warfare 2894732894729." :P

Nice post and good to see you've stuck around~ :)
And I'm glad you've taken the time to improve on your writing (no offense, some of your early posts, I just could not make sense of them).

See, the beatings were for your own good.

But seriously, There has been definite improvement and that's what we were hoping for.

Dunno, I still don't think anything was meant as hurtful or "not liking" someone.

Just tips on how to navigate the forum, for the betterment of everyone.

As said, lot of improvement, part of the improvement, is not reacting negatively to constructive criticism. It is in the vast majority of cases truly meant as "constructive".
