God this game truly showed off the power of the dreamcast. It's so beautiful and vibrant and just wow. I could only imagine if they actually utilized the dreamcast at like full potential.

this whole time I always crapped all over iphone games,

Moving on to Medal of Honor: Rising Sun. Looking forward to this, as I enjoy WW2 games set in the Pacific, but this one had some rather mixed reviews, bad enough that a planned sequel was canceled so this game ends on a cliffhanger.
No matter what they say, those introductory levels just make this series worth it. Starting off right on Dec 7 1941 is CRAZY.

I love that you're going through all the WWII FPS's on the Gamecube. I bought and played all of them when they came out and loved them all. The single player campaign on Rising Sun was probably my least favorite... but that's the only one that lets you have bots in the multiplayer mode for added chaos! My friends and I usually played European Assault though since the weapon upgrades seemed to help level the playing field against my supernatural skills.ExedExes wrote:Moving on to Medal of Honor: Rising Sun. The story in Rising Sun is really lame and can be completely ignored, so I wouldn't worry about it ending unresolved. But you are right about the game opening on a good note.ExedExes wrote:Moving on to Medal of Honor: Rising Sun. I'm playing legend of Zelda link to the past and I suck at it. I have memorized the dungeon to get the first pendant pretty good but I still am having troubles

I'm playing Resident Evil: Director's Cut. Everything was going well until I got to the courtyard basement, now I just want to say fuck it. Why? Because I can't stand it when every room looks the same and you have no idea where the hell you're going. I did enjoy getting killed by a giant rolling boulder though, so much so that I let it happen again on purpose.
Re: What are you playing?
I read that the multiplayer has bots so that's pretty cool. There's only 9 levels on the single player mode too, what a disappointment. I'll be done by the end of the weekpumpkinpie65 wrote:I love that you're going through all the WWII FPS's on the Gamecube. I bought and played all of them when they came out and loved them all. I can barely hear what they're saying this time too, I didn't see any option to play with the sounds at all, unless I missed it. I also don't like that they totally changed the controller mapping from Frontline. No more Z button reloads unless I put together a custom configuration, but they even assigned the grenades to a separate button this time!BoringSupreez wrote:The story in Rising Sun is really lame and can be completely ignored, so I wouldn't worry about it ending unresolved. Re: What are you playing?
I'm revisiting Street Fighter Alpha 3 on my PSP since i installed a custom firmware. Load times on that game were pretty short to start with, but after ripping the UMD to my memory stick, they're even shorter. To improve on perfection, i'm going to do one of those tape d-pad mods, so that it controls better.
It may be a sign of advancing age, but i find that i can only really play well on the Turbo 1 speed setting though. T2 and above just seem to move a bit too quickly for me to react well, and i feel as though i'm missing out on the beautiful animation when it goes by so fast. That said, 'normal' speed seems a tad too slow, so maybe i'm not totally decrepit yet...
X-ism all the way!

The Last Story on the Wii, Uncharted 2 on the PS3, and Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars on the PC.
