I've Got a TurboGrafx-16 Again!
Whoo hoo!!! My wife just spilled the beans before the package got here because she couldn't contain herself. Freaking awesome! And you know how incredible she is? She also got Splatterhouse with it!
I used to have a one, but my fat cat sat on the controller cord where it plugs into the port, and snapped the entire port, rendering the console useless.
Now it's time to build-up my TurboGrafx game collection again!

Awesome! Splatter house is great. Not cheap either. You have a cool wife! Might I recommend Blazing Lazers, R-Type, Dungeon Explorer and Alien Crush for your first games?

Nice selection there. I bought Alien Crush and it should show up in the mail any day now. I used to own Blazing Lazers on the first TG-16 I owned before it broke, great shoot-em up. R-Type I have on Master System, already. Dungeon Explorer I have on Wii Ware, I do want a physical copy eventually but not a high priority for me right now considering.Breetai wrote:Awesome! Along with Alien Crush, I also picked up Keith Courage in Alpha Zones, because it was under $5 and that included shipping. Not a great game by any means, but it's still playable and worth having in your collection since it was originally the pack-in game (especially for that price).

Yeah, but that's like saying that you don't need After Burner on the 32X or Saturn because you already have it on the Master System.BurningDoom wrote:R-Type I have on Master System, already.
The TG-16 version of R-Type is nearly arcade perfect, aside from a bit more flicker and a black bar at the bottom that holds the score and stats.

Best thing of all? The TG-16 version isn't expensive. It might be in the $20-25 range, or less if you are patient and okay with just the cartridge.
Keith Courage is pretty cool I think. It's not the best game, but it does have a quirky charm about it.

Gratz!
The games I've got on my TurboGrafx-16 that keep drawing me back are Super Star Soldier, Ninja Spirit, Nuetopia, and Alien Crush. I used to love playing Military Madness at my friends as well. Also, I think Kieth Courage in Alpha Zones is definitely worth the small price tag. It may have its problems, but I managed to get a lot of fun out of that game.

Ninja Spirit is high on my wishlist. Another I used to own the first time around. That and Bloody Wolf are the next 2 I plan on getting.Czernobog wrote:Gratz!

Just checked some gameplay footage of Bloody Wolf, and now that's on my watch list as well. Funny how that happens nearly every time I look at a TG16 game.BurningDoom wrote:Ninja Spirit is high on my wishlist. Another I used to own the first time around.
