Moving into my college dorm tomorrow

Post by scarper »

Super happy about all this. Had a kickass summer, interning for a tv station, lots of camping, and visiting close friends. And now this.

I try not to post these life updatey posts on RacketBoy, but moving has been something I've been waiting on for a while now. For those curious, I'm going to MSU Moorhead, majoring in Film Production and Mass Comm.

Have fun~ :D Try not to make your 5 year plan a 6, 7, or more. :P
Out of curiosity I Googled your uni (didn't know it) and from the map it looked like it was larger than my uni. Apparently yours is about 1.7 million square feet and mine that looks smaller is 5.5 million.

Congrats and good luck. You are in the major I wanted to take, but at the time my college did not have it.

Congrats! I have a niece and nephew who just went up there to NDSU. Not much for retro games in Fargo/Moorhead and not much to do but MSUM is a great school.

Have fun! I'm visiting a friends dorm over the weekend. I don't actually plan to stay in one myself if I can get away with it. I've got two friends willing to rent an apartment next year so hopefully that will go well.

Congrats! Have fun with this new beginning and make the most of your opportunities.

I dropped my oldest daughter off this past weekend at a college about 5 hours away. I'm so very excited for her. She has already made some great friends. But man, I am missing her. :(

Congrads, I semi did the same thing earlier in the month. I moved into a house with a bunch of friends from college. Not a dorm but it's about the same idea since I never moved out before.

Have fun and be safe of course.

Wish you the best. Don't drink anything that you didn't buy/make yourself, always wear a condom, follow the sock rule and watch the floors of the showers. (Only shared showers on that last rule...) Rubbing alcohol is your friend here.

Personally, I don't think I could do the whole dorm thing. I just wouldn't be comfortable being that close to people I don't know. I get touchy just going to the mall, let alone LIVING that close to that many people. Also, dorm flu is a bitch from what I've seen.

Pretty much all this stuff. Safer to stay away from girls totally. I would never ever want to do dorm again. Way too dirty.

I added 2 years to my degree due to partying too much (wouldn't have happened it I didn't spend two years in dorm). Just... use logic and keep your cool about things. Go easy on the partying; play retro games instead. Buy a PC Engine and a Saturn if you don't have them!
