However, driving a nice vehicle doesn't mean there is an overcompensation. You're not a car guy, we get it. but some of us who are car enthusiasts look at our vehicles as more than something that gets us from point A to point B. If you are like that, then fine, go get a cheap reliable car.

New cars also do not depreciate by near 50% when you drive them off the lot. I tend to prefer to buy mine new over used. I have no idea how well maintenanced or taken care of a pre-owned vehicle was. You could potentially be buying a future basket case, you never know. There are also often dealer incentives and sales you can take advantage of to get new vehicles under msrp. Not to mention better finance rates and insurance discounts on new vehicles.
I actually love cars, especially fun ones. But where I live, it's totally the bigger the engine the smaller the strong chin and penis. Love when people who love cars work on cars and put time and money, and blood sweat and tears into their cars. At the same time I loathe trust fund babies who buy tricked out cars who don't even know which side their gas flap is on. These are the morons who rev their engine at a 4-C Focus.

I spend more time in the bathroom each day than I do in my car, most people do. Where's my money going to actually appreciate? Upgrading my Bathroom. Chrome on every hinge, heated marble floors, Kohler appliances, in wall speakers, and a shower I could probably live in.

Okay, 75% of that was there when I bought the house, but I did put a new door knob and changed the toilet seat, pump, and valve.

Again, I love cars, but unless you have the money to buy a luxury item, don't buy it. King has the money, and I think he should play around and test drive as much as possible. I'm grounded in my roots, and until I have Bruce Wayne money, my funds are going to my house, my wife (in insurance terms), and college funds for my children. Every penny means something to me, and I don't like wasting money on a status symbol. I say this because King said "Cheap car". He doesn't want to seem cheap, and I haven't read a post from him that mention a car's actual performance. It's posturing, which is lame and quite dumb in my opinion.

I have fast, high powered muscle car, but I do so because I love the performance. I use it as a daily driver and I love to take it out on the weekends. My commute is usually 30 min to an hour each way, and with other driving, I do spend a lot of time in my car. I am also a big man, so I dont fit comfortably into any little japanese car or economical vehicle. All these things I have to take into consideration.

There is also a certain % of money that goes into a house that doesnt necessarily appreciate it. Once you get to a certain point, extra house enhancements dont affect value anymore. I cant remember the $$ to sq/ft ratio at the moment. I love the extra HP on my car more than I would appreciate a gilded toilet (yes, exaggerating for humor, but you get my point). A person puts their 'fun' money into what they enjoy most.

I dont work on my newer vehicle, as it is under warranty and the newer cars are much more complex. However, I have done a bunch of work on my old 68 in the past.

Personally I think the Focus ST looks 100x cooler than anything mercedes is putting out. Until you get to that half million batmobile looking thing.

Sorry, but I hate when I hear this bullshit.
says who?

I've had 30+ cars in 5 years, and I've made money on every single one. how do you think I keep upgrading?

I don't buy cars to downgrade..I buy cars to drive for a bit, then get something better next when I make money on the last one.

By taking advantage of people.

By taking advantage of people.

Explain?

Because I bought the car for cheaper than it was worth, and selling it for what it's worth is taking advantage of people?

It's not like I'm forcing them to give me cash. I tell them I have a car for sale, and tell them I have a price...and they agree.

I'm not a used car salesman. I'm just a guy who buys cars and get's bored 3 months later and gets something else :)

Thats why I don't finance anything, I know I won't keep it long enough.

So by that notion...someone like me, who has had stuff like..say...This..means I have a small penis.

This had a 5.9 in it

Or my big truck with the 5.8

I must have a tiny penis from some of the vehicles I've had.

If you drive up to a stop light while revving your engine taunting a Mazda 3 to a race, yes. You have issues and more than likely a small penis.

If you love cars and love to work on them, as I previously stated, and don't challenge every car on the road, I admire you.

Love cars, love people who know cars inside and out. But to boast just to boast is easy to do.

Not saying you are at all. But I will say I have no clue why you have two muscle cars and muscle two trucks (one crushing other vehicles) if you weren't trying to make a "I'm a manly man" statement.
