Ok installed and played a game of each of the 3 tables in Creep Night Pinball. I'm on XP and the installer gave me an error, but it kept going anyway. The created shortcut points to a dumb autorun file that gave an error. However, when I just launched the actual pinball game file it ran fine. The tables were fun and the cheesy midi music is actually great. Granted I've only give it a few minutes play, but I recommend it for PC pinball fans if you find it cheap.

One thing though, you might not want to ever run the uninstaller. This is a Sierra game is from 1997 and I had an early copy of Half Life from 1998 screw up on XP and delete the folder above where it was unistalled and wipe out all of the other games and saves I had back in the day. Now maybe it was because I told it I didn't need a Sierra and then HL folder and just told it HL only in my games folder. In any case, that one obviously had some bad programming, so just a thing to watch out for. It takes less than 32 megs of HD space anyway, but still.

Good to know! I have the Last Gladiators and can see similarities.

Thanks for the comments on the Creeper Pinball game. :)

I too highly recommend Sierra's 3D Ultra Pinball games. Creep Night was a great game. Once, only ONCE did I have such an amazing run I made it through all *3* tables in one game (in the challenge mode that supported it) and probably fulfilled the requirements to "complete" the game. The game that has the tables with the prehistoric theme was good too. EDIT: It was called The Lost Continent

The makers of the Pro Pinball series of video pinball games are teaming up with a couple of IRL Pinball greats ("the duo behind The Addams Family, The Twilight Zone, Red & Ted's Roadshow and Monopoly.") to start work on a new table. Here's a link to the story: http://www.pinballnews.com/news/propinball/index.html

This is some pretty exciting news for video pinball fans.
And it's a Kickstarter thing, FWIW.

VERY exciting. Lawlor/Youssi are well known throughout all pinball circles.

Also didn't know this:

first as Fuse Games and then as Silverball Studios where - amongst other titles - they made Mario Pinball Land for the Game Boy Advance

That's pretty sweet. I have MPL and it was the guys from Pro Pinball that made it (!)

I was not aware of that either until this article. It mentioned they worked on Metroid Prime Pinball, too! Small world, eh? :)

Downloaded Pack #3 on Pinball Arcade. Gorgar and some Monster themed pin. Both are fun, 2 flipper games.
Gorgar seems to play easier on this version of the game than it does on the Williams Collection discs for Wii, PS2 or 360. I had a decent score after 2 plays, where as on the disc based games I rarely get over 120k. I could be imagining it.

Not a video pin update, but I picked up a Stern Galaxy machine earlier this week. Minor cosmetic issues on the cab, really decent playfield with minimal wear and a good backglass with just a little ink lifted off the glass. I hope to have it playable in the next 2 weeks. It is SOOOO pretty. :D

You don't hear a lot about the *older* Stern pins, and that's a shame. I was never able to play any of them either.

Cowboy - how'd the DL and installation go with those new tables? I like Pinball Arcade and all, but their releases have been marred by f-ups. Everything come over ok?

I'm on the 360, so other than MASSIVE delays in release dates via XBL, it has not been a big deal for me with purchases. I think it had maybe one core update that was not a real big deal either.
I feel for the devs, because they are across all sorts of platforms and each presents their own challenges. They are up to their eyeballs with the cross-platform commitments and pack/upgrade challenges.
