New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hello everyone! I joined up here because I'm looking into Sega collecting, and getting a Saturn is my current priority since I've never had the chance to play any games for it.
Also learning of the rarity of the Saturn s-video cables, so that will be a hassle to get one.

Introductions are needed
Hi everyone!
Just recently joined the forum and wanted to share a couple things with you. First off, my current collection:
http://s1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff382/VenarThompson/Retro%20Gaming%20Nation/
Some highlights of my collection:
-A Neo Geo Pocket Color w/Metal Slug 2nd Mission that I recently found at a local Goodwill.
-2 UForce controllers (one CIB, the other just the main unit)
-2 Power Gloves with manuals and sensors (one I bought, the other a friend gave me)
-A Mario Bros. Game and Watch (it was a gift. Still need to get a new battery for it)
-Bible Adventures (found it for $3 at my local Goodwill. Anyone know if there's a difference with the cartridge color? First one I saw was baby blue, this one is black)
-A Camerica Adventure 4 pack NES cart (from a free pile from a next door neighbor.)
-Earthworm Jim: Special Edition CIB for Sega CD (Always loved this game.)
Anyway, unfortunately there's really only one store around me that carries retro games and consoles, but they generally have tons of good stuff at really good prices (the only high price item I've found there that I ended up getting was Earthworm Jim for Sega CD...$55!). Otherwise I have to resort to evilbay or craigslist.
I also have a Retro Gaming blog where I review systems, controllers and eventually games: http://retrogamingnation.blogspot.com/ if you want to check it out that would be great!
So anyway, thanks for having this great forum and I'm happy to have found it and join up!

Welcome to the pile. You may want to create a thread over here with your pictures.

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
hey folks! long time lurker, first time poster. i am usually on racketboy a fair bit during the work week, usually on my breaks at work. i probably wont post much from work, but i have enjoyed racketboy so much over the last year that i wanted to make a profile, and just say how awesome this site is. so even if i dont post a lot, i will probably be reading a ton of the threads and discussions. now for a bit about myself i guess. My name is Matthew, im 24, and have enjoyed videogames since i was around 10, but have only seriously collected for about 2 years now. my wife and i just had our first child, so i dont have as much time for games as i used to, but i still enjoy them when i can, and im always on the lookout for game deals. most of my collection has been built through thrift store, pawn shops and garage sale hunting, but also a bit through trades. i will probably make a post in the gameroom section soon to talk more about my collection. but yeah, this site rocks, and it seems to be a great videogame community

Hi, Everybody!
I'm VideoGamerYoshi. I found this site awhile ago, and thought I might join these forums. I'm only in High School, and haven't been able to find a job, so my collection isn't the biggest. I'm really big into the 16-bit era, and have this strange fascination with the Dreamcast, so that's what I'm mainly collecting for, for the time being. Hope to have many more posts here with this great community!

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
hi I just found this site while looking for info on what cheap crts would be good for older game consoles (crtgamer's guide was very informative). outside of retro gaming I enjoy bike riding and collecting old vinyl records and comics.
