Ok, some people don't get along, it happens. Sometimes otherwise rational people clash with others and nobody can put down the sticks while everyone else in an ongoing thread suffers. I'm making this to dump pointless arguements into. No pointing fingers as to whom is wrong, just a locked place to dump crap that messes up other threads. If the people involved want to try and hash things out via PM or ask a mod to take a look, they can do so from here.

This will remain locked and is not intended for later commentary by mods as that would be unfair for normal members as they wouldn't be able to respond. This is simply a place to get unwanted diversions put aside.

and since we're airing this out publicly, I might as well remind wclem (and everyone else) of this little nugget of wisdom from the Forum Guidelines (underline is mine):

One thing to remember is that moderators are people too. Although we try to choose moderators who are exceptionally level-headed, it is possible to tick them off. This isn't being unfair; it's being human. When members assume "it's personal" or "I'm being singled out" when their posts are moderated, they are usually wrong. Still, we take all complaints seriously. Trying to stir up a public outcry is frowned upon, so let us know your concerns directly.

None of us mods are doing so as a job. We're all just regular members who were asked to help out. And honestly, if anyone has a problem with how we mod, feel free to contact Racket and let him know.

@wclem: Not sure who my dynamic duo "partner" is, and don't really care. The initial post was more than a bit lazy / suspicious. At the time, it was a 3rd post, being vague, from a new member...linking a facebook page. Most likely a spammer, possibly a lazy first effort.

However, you are right, I should have pm'd. I do forget that too many on this forum have extremely thin skin and a comment that is meant to say, "oh come on" or, wait for it, "oh brother", is an incredibly offensive thing to say

And with that, you who is always quick to comment...and then "quit the site" when you get frustrated, only to come back with another uninformed comment, and then quit again...only to come back for more of the same unhelpful remarks. You are going to criticize mods? You have no idea how many times we do privately pm (...because it is private ), how many new members we do work with, how many spambots we clean out, how many disputes we settle between members, etc. And the honest truth is, I didn't have any idea either until I was asked to become a mod. So while you are apparently embracing the idea of being a troll (second time you've mentioned you're a troll? <--- fwiw, a troll doesn't say, "i'm a troll") let me be clear, your comments as is the case lately, is uninformed and unhelpful.

And you are the jackass carrying it on. I have seen you make all kinds of snide remarks to people since you have been on here. I DO NOT see any other mods behaving like you. You put this out in the thread and carried it on like a baby. You dont like what I say and I DONT like what you say. You criticize people and act like you are better then them.
