Georgia Gamers

Post by PigInTheMud »

Hey, I'm moving back to Georgia, and I was wondering if there are any collectors active here on these forums living near Atlanta or anywhere else in Georgia. It gets kind of boring being one of only 2 collectors that I know in Georgia. The other one being mostly a modern collector though so we don't have much game interests in common. But that does make it easier for when we go to stores together. That way we don't fight over something awesome. Anyway, I would be interested in meeting up or at least sharing cool places that we can go to for good deals.

Actually I live almost dead center in Atlanta, just to the northeast of the I-75/85 and I-20 junction.

Well if this thing going on in September is true it would be neat to say hello to each other I think. I too live 45 minutes north of Atlanta in the Alpharetta region. I hate all of these games and nobody to share the older gems with

Woops, forgot about this topic.

I may have gotten the events mixed up. Theres a game dev event called siege in october, but the same guy was telling me about some gamer meetup, but I'm thinking it may have been a "southeast" event, not a georgia thing.

Hey Jrecee, any good retro game stores up on your end of town? The only one I've seen down here is in Newnan, so I'm generally only able to visit when I'm going to visit family in Alabama.

I am actually visiting family in Newnan right now. Gator Gamz is the store here. Its a pain to look through games but prices are good. Picked up the Jetson game for the NES for 25 bucks. Label was good but the cart has some odd cart discoloration.

There's a play n trade in gainesville, three game shops at the pendergrass flea market (one is so overpriced it's not even worth mentioning) and cc gaming which I did a video for. . . And now just remembered I never finished the writeup. . .
