The Racketboy Podcast - thoughts?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Right back at ya? BoringSupreez's post actually added some feedback of some kind unlike that random jab.

I kind of agree with him, the podcast doesn't really jump out at you as a major portion of the site, and I think it's partially because it's not really talked up much on here and the members don't really know what to expect, or why they should bother to give a listen. Being that the podcasts are relatively long (usually like 20-30 minutes if I remember correctly, could be wrong), potential listeners are going to want a solid reason to invest their time.

I do enjoy the podcast. Before checking out the RB podcast I didn't even know what the heck a podcast was. Personally I enjoy the episodes with the interviews the most, although every one I've listened to has been pretty interesting. Sadly I've yet to listen to one with Jmustang1968 yet, but I'll catch up eventually. The one episode I enjoyed the most was the Moderators Roundtable, would like to see another one of those being that there's a whole new crew of mods now.

Have to say that the reason why I haven't gave it a listen is because I can't download it without uicktime pro or something like that. I don't know if there's a work around or I'm doing something wrong but it has happened to me with other podcasts.

I have only been listening to podcasts recently, normally while I'm on the gym or stuff.

I would also add, for the episodes where there are no guests and the focus is just "gaming news, collection updates, etc" - maybe bring 1 or 2 other RB members in to share their thoughts as well.

Another suggestion: maybe once a quarter you do a "collection" show and tap someone from the Game Rooms & Theater that would like to talk about how they built and organize their collection. Or you could bring in three or four people for one special episode.

I've posted ideas and have given feedback in the past (and been on the show). Never listening to the product nor having any clue what it is about is not feedback.
