It's always a great day to be a Wildcat. Just make sure you go to a few hockey games when you get there, whether you're a hockey fan or not. It'll be the last season where we play Big Ten teams.
Huskies > Wildcats. ;)
We'll see about that! We'll be back in your hockey division soon, then we'll establish some supremacy on the matter. :-P

All jabs aside, Michigan Tech is one of the best engineering schools in the nation.

As for restaurants:
Doncker's in downtown Marquette is amazing. Lisalover is spot on about Babycakes, I love their blueberry muffins. Casa Calabria and Pasta Shop both have some great Italian food. Border Grill is pretty good if you get a craving for some decent burritos--it's not authentic mexican, but rather Southwest food. There's plenty of pub food places and whatnot if you're looking to eat before some nightlife. I could go on and on. The location is absolutely prime if you like being outside, though.

Presque Isle, Little Presque, Sugarloaf, Hogsback, make sure you hit up all of these places just to start.
