 : I've been without internet access since last Monday. My PC randomly died, I started working the night shift full-time at Walmart, and went to MEPS all in the same week.

:) : Finally got some free time today, and figured out what was wrong with my machine. One of the RAM sticks fried, that's an easy thing to replace.

Frown: the kiddo started preschool this week, which makes him happy but me a bit weepy.

Smile: A quick trip to Chicago for research should net me some delicious food.

My old pup Ripley. I still love the sound of her walking up and down stairs, and even on the hardwood floors even though she scratches them to high heaven.

Where in Chicago? I'd be more than happy to give you some suggestions of the best food in the city.

I'll be in the Skokie area, actually. I have been to Chicago for extended stays more than a dozen times in the last 10 years, so I am pretty good with what's in the city proper. Skokie will be new, though.

Well then. The pm I sent you is rendered useless.

Not totally useless if you do go into the city at some point.

While you're in Skokie you have to get some bagels. They're AMAZING up in that area.
