Out of those, assuming the SAT is the all black (or grey) Sega version, then the only one of those that is a legit stick is the DC (assuming that is the Agetec w/green buttons, yeah)?
The others are all mimic sticks - do not let those sour you on sticks.
With a stick, you def. get what you pay for dude. If you want to borrow something for 360 or ps3 (or other) shoot me a pm, or I (or brad or chaz) can recommend something.
The agetec would be closest to a legit stick, in that it's a real stick, but it's a 3rd party stick and a lot of them are sloppy nowadays (from lots of use and no maintenance or replacement), i've got two that are just slack and need new sticks put into 'em.

Yeah, the DC stick is the giant bastard with green buttons. I think my SS stick is an Ascii.
I just thought it may improve my mobility for shmups, but I know for sure that I can't do any better than a pad for fighters.

I'm much better on a pad than a stick. I grew up with tons of console, but little arcade.
There are some games that feel right with the dc stick, like Border Down, Under Defeat, Ikaruga. But there are some I have to use a pad for, like Castle Shikigami 2, Last Hope, Gunbird 2, etc.
Since picking up the cab my stick useage has definitely improved though. It just takes some getting used to.
Thanks for the link jep, with my current interest in early 90s stuff, an autodire circut will come in handy

See, that's what's strange to me; I never had an overt amount of games growing up, so I spent a good many hours hanging around in arcades, just to play the latest and greatest.
But, once I started working and had the financial means to purchase mostly anything I wanted; then I was only console. It just also happened to be the time that consoles were becoming equal to the arcade equivalents, so they were in decline anyway.

I grew up with pads, but since switching to sticks for fighters and shmups I've never looked back. I'm horrified at the thought of even trying to play a bullet hell shmup without a quality arcade stick.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

I downloaded the 3D Classic versions of Xevious and Twinbee for the 3DS to take on vacation with me. I really liked Twinbee - what a cool classic to port over to a current system.

Downloaded the updated Neo4All for Last Resort last night. So damned good. I've been waiting almost 20 years to play this again.

I have Last Resort on PS2 (SNK Arcade Classics 1), but I've never fired it up.

Don't... it's a horrible port. The emulation is garbage. Never ever ever play the version in that collection.noiseredux wrote:I have Last Resort on PS2 (SNK Arcade Classics 1), but I've never fired it up.
