Stop wearing perfume. It smells like #@%^#$
Re: Stop wearing perfume. It smells like #@%^#$
There's a certain fragrance that every now and then I'll catch a whiff of on a girl and it drives me nuts. Mainly because it reminds me of my first serious (as in shagging like rabbits several times a day for months) girlfriend. It's funny how smell and memory works.

This effect can also work with body odor. If you stink, since you're around yourself 24/7, you won't be able to smell it after a while of stinking. If you want to check yourself, in case this did happen, if you stick your nose in your armpit, the smell gets stronger and you can smell yourself again.Jimmy Yakapucci wrote:One of the problems with people who wear the same scent every day is that they become desensitized to it and they need more and more to be able to smell it the same as they used to. Almost like needing more and more drugs for the same high.
So break up the monotony and wear a few different scents.

From what I've heard, this effect is caused because human's sense of smell is very weak, and if you smell something for long enough it will go away. The nose needs something to compare it to. So, if a certain room in your house stinks, and you go in there and wait. Eventually it won't stink to you anymore. But as soon as you walk out of the room, smell the fresh air, then go back in, your nose will pick up the difference and you will smell it again.

That's what happens when I poop.

I saw this post and thought, wow, yeah! I totally agree and I should post something. Then I realized how much I agree with myself.

I'd rather them wear it than not wear it.

Perfume and cologne is best when you can only smell it when you get close. I still have the same bottle of cologne when this thread was started.
The worst is going out with friends, picking them up, and having your entire car smell of perfume.
Not to make a broad generalization, but I will anyway: the hells wrong with old men and women at church bathing in perfume and cologne? I know your senses dwindle with age, but I swear some people are three pews deep with Cool Water.
Re: Stop wearing perfume. It smells like #@%^#$
I knew a guy who used to douse himself in Axe deoderant spray instead of bathing. It took years to get the stink out of my couch.

I hate how all old women smell the same, do they get to a certain age and decide to buy the same perfume?
