Frown: It was actually a bit disappointing. There was not that much to do, it was too expensive, and people were really into shoving and generally being mean. Oh well.Luke wrote:Hey! Same for me, but I took my Mom to Ulta beauty supplies. Sea World sounds like a lot more fun.
I've had the sense before that you and I have similar tastes. Could you shoot me a PM and let me know what didn't work for you? I haven't opened it yet so returning it could still be easy.gtmtnbiker wrote: I didn't care for the game. It was a disappointment for me.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Smile: Someone broke my DJ mixer at a show last night. This is a "smile" because I had a replacement warranty on it, and since best buy didn't have another one, they ended up giving me more in store credit than I paid for the mixer and warranty combined. I have a back-up mixer, so I'll probably just get a new TV or laptop or something.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Smile: Went to a show with friends this afternoon.
Frown: Thought the group driver was cool with what I brought up for dinner, like everyone else. That person got all pissy and said they couldn't afford to go, but we went anyway. So I pay for everyone to offset the issue and then everyone hassled me for that. So now I'm all pissy and I came home instead of hanging out for the evening as I apparently can't do anything right today.

I was expecting something closer to Mario Party than Monopoly. I'm not a big fan of monopoly games. The idea of sitting in front on a TV to play a board game is not my idea of fun. The games seem to run long and there's no ability to save. We played it 3-4 times and that was it.Flake wrote:I've had the sense before that you and I have similar tastes. Smile: Saw my friends at the arcade tonight, along with seeing Walter Day. He set the arcade's record on Centipede tonight!
Ticked: I started a game of Nibbler with my left hand, intending to stop playing for the night when I died.
Got to 25 million. Shit. Can't quit now.
Smile 2:

I don't know how long I played but it was over five hours for sure. Only killed off around 100 lives during this whole thing.
What is wrong with me?

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Smile: Old people say the funniest things. Two gems from my Mother during her visit.
Considering Fantastic Sams: "Do they cut your hair or serve pretzels?"
During a Bayonetta cut-scene: "Are we watching a movie or a game show?"
Frown: My parents left this morning at 5am. Got to say goodbye, but it was brief.
Smile: They always overdo it.
They left us with a half pound of gabbagoo (aka capicola), over a pound of assorted cheeses (my favorites being Roquefort and smoked Gruyere), a 12 pack of Fat Tire, a six pack of 1557 (I think that's what it is called), a bottle of Riesling, a bottle of cab, pistachios, chocolate covered orange peels, 4 pack of Ginger Beer, tons of veggies from the local farmer's market, and I'm forgetting a few things for sure.
My Father also gave me 8 top notch cigars (4 Havanas!) and a gorgeous piece of carnival glass from the 1910's.
I was never spoiled growing up, more like I was cheap labor, but ever since I got married they love to shower us with gifts. I returned the favor as it was we celebrated my Mother's birthday early and a shopping spree at Ulta isn't cheap, plus I bought a lot of bullets and targets for my Father as he loves his Colt SAA and Colt 1911.
I guess in the end I'd consider it a wash.
Excited to meet up with friends tonight for our weekly True Blood get together.
