What was the last movie you've seen?

That's really the one part that's gonna be a tough pill to swallow for me. I'm hoping he's not part of the team, as there's been more than one Guardians of the Galaxy team, one he's a member of was just the most recent incarnation.

I mean really? A walking, talking space raccoon in a live-action movie that's not a spoof or kids movie?
You know it'd be amazingly awesome if they could make it work.

I recently saw both Magic Mike and Moonrise Kingdom. For starters, yes, I initially wanted to see the former just for the eye candy, but I was surprised that I actually got a quality movie out of it. The tone was much more somber than I expected, and it really suited the movie's overall message. As for Moonrise, I loved what they were trying to do with the movie, and Bill Murray gives a great performance that shows he can have a good character range, but there was way too much in the movie that just made no sense at all, like the lightning rod scene or the mysterious exposition man. Overall, a fun movie to watch, but just because a movie is artsy doesn't excuse it from being logical.

You actually loved it, didn't you?

Watched GHOSTBUSTERS last night, for actually the first time in a year or two. Yes, some of the visual effects have aged, but that is all that has aged. The comedy, spot on. The same lines I've heard dozens of times still make me laugh out loud ("Listen! Do you smell that?"), even the physical comedy still gets me. The characters are all perfect (and besides Ramis heavy smokers), the shots/frames are all around perfect, and the soundtrack is unforgettable.

I have a hard time believing anyone wouldn't absolutely love this movie.

Whoa!

Has she watched the movies in their entirety? I know some parts aren't the best in the history of cinema, but hot damn are they both great movies.
