Operation Runefall

Post by SirPsycho »

Operation Runefall is an activist idea I've been playing around with for awhile. I decided with some extra coverage on the Suikoden series over on sites like Kotaku that now might be a good time to try to spring into action.

Anyway, the basic goal as of right now is to bug Konami on social media letting them know that RPG fans want Suikoden, starting with getting Suikoden 2 on PSN. I've started my move on Twitter and turned to some RPG centered subreddits to let them know of the plan. Anyway if you happen to be active on Twitter or Facebook you should totally let them know about this Operation Runefall. If you're using Twitter I started the #BringSuikoden2toPSN hashtag but go ahead and add #OperationRunefall as well.

Action is better than inaction! Staying silent means that nothing will change.

Make sure you're cleared with the Op-Rainfall guys on this. Your name is basically just borrowing from theirs, and while your cause isn't a bad one you don't want to get into a smackdown with a large established group by stealing their thunder or confusing others in some way.

I don't know what communication there was between the Rainfall and Moonfall guys when Operation Moonfall started.

Since its all for a good cause and Rainfall is all about the games I'm sure they wouldn't give a single care for this homage to their efforts.

I've never played any of the suikoden games but I would like to get into them especially II since I've heard many people claim that it is one of the best rpgs ever made. If the games weren't so expensive, I would probably track down a copy. Konami should definitely re release suikoden II.

So bug them and let them know that you want to have a legitimate way to play this classic series!

Yeah I've pretty much been wanting Suikoden II on the PSN store since the PS3 launch... since, Suikoden I has been up there forever just taunting us (even though it's still amazing. II is just legendary). I'll probably cave and drop a brick of gold for a copy someday anyways.

I'm willing to bet the moment I decide to shell out the cash for suikoden II, they will announce a rerelease or HD remake. In fact that actually just happened to me for nights into dreams  .

Then you need to hurry up and buy a copy of Suikoden II, for the sake of the rest of us. I want an HD remake!

I'm going to import Suikoden 1 + 2 for the PSP. If they would localize that and release it on PSN it would be glorious as both games on the PSP remakes have updated visuals.
