I like it for for the quick identification to determine if a game is PAL or NTSC sitting on the shelf. I wish the Gamecube cases did that blue scheme for the PAL games. I wonder how Blue became the PAL color? Dreamcast used the same color scheme.ninjainspandex wrote:the blue cases some games look ok with it but most do not.emwearz wrote:The blue of the cases or the artwork / spine? I personally love see all the spines on a shelf in uniform.ninjainspandex wrote:no offence but damn i really hate pal ps2 cases

I found Mega Man Legends and Legend of Spyro at a yard sale today for $2 each. MML has just the disc and back insert (no manual) and Spyro was disc only, both scratched to hell but they work. I guess it was still a good deal.
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I just got a NES and 1 controller today for about 10 dollars at a thrift store. I don't really have an NES but I do have a Famicom with an adapter which I had been using to play NES games. It was a bit dirty till I cleaned it up. However, I found out that it has a replacement 72 pin connection (it said NES with new connection) and not the original. It doesn't work 100% as it seems to have been damaged so I'll have to fix it.
Still, can't beat that and I might keep it or sell it on eBay once I fix it.

Try playing the games without pushing the cartridge down.Konacha wrote:I just got a NES and 1 controller today for about 10 dollars at a thrift store. Yeah, well if I do that with no matter what happens I get the blinking light and it flickers. Only when I push the cartridge into the slot very carefully by doing it side to side and push down does it work. It doesn't matter what game I do, it does the same thing.elmagicochrisg wrote:Try playing the games without pushing the cartridge down.Konacha wrote:I just got a NES and 1 controller today for about 10 dollars at a thrift store. Maybe not installed correctly? There is a detent underneath the PCB that has to be cleared. Only a few screws to pop the cover, worth a look. There are also "bend" the pins repair, meticulous but does not cost anything.Konacha wrote:Yeah, well if I do that with no matter what happens I get the blinking light and it flickers. First of all, be lucky you got it at that price if you can get it to work. Too many cheap f***s try to sell them for 50 bucks.Konacha wrote:I just got a NES and 1 controller today for about 10 dollars at a thrift store. Anyways, have you tried multiple games? Inserted in and out? Correct region? Clean? Correct cords?
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
After I opened it up and cleaned the connection it started to work a lot better. I still have to push it down to get it to play but I can just shove it into the NES and it will work most of the time. There is only a number of games it doesn't work very well at all (I almost have to play around with it) which is mostly those unlicensed Tengen games.brandman wrote:First of all, be lucky you got it at that price if you can get it to work.
