This thing is sooooo every 90s "rad" cliche.

I'm not sure if I actually liked this as a kid, or if I just liked the toys (YES, I know they are Polly Pockets for boys) so much I watched the show cause of them.

I had this and I loved it

Mighty Max toys! Holy crap, I forgot about those. I had a lot of those actually. I loved those things.

These aren't mine, but I had the 1st & 3rd in the top row, the 1st, 2nd, & 4th in the second row, and I think a couple of the smaller ones, though I don't remember which ones exactly.

I also has this monstrosity and this guy.

All that and I don't think I ever once watched the show

I remember thinking that Mighty Max's plot was actually decent. Considering that it was probably (like many cartoons of the time and today) basically marketing for the toys, I wonder if I was correct and if the plot holds up decently to watch today.

Um....all western TV cartoons since then (I don't know when exactly the trend started) got animated in Japan and Korea, cause they were cheaper to produce there.

How can this be a video game forum and no one has mentioned these golden turds yet?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOWwDEkAquk

Megaman

Like most licensed cartoons made to promote toys (or in this case a video game), they wasted the entire animation udget on giving the show a kick ass opening, and then just "Speed Racer'ed" the rest of the animation xD.

Then we have this:

Sonic Underground

A second attempt at making a "serious" Sonic cartoon, which is justified seeing just how good "Sonic The Hedgehog" came out, but this....oh dear.....the lame songs in every episode, Sonic having 2 siblings (who all 3 are pretty much the same characters), make this a very bad clone.

And yet I kept watching it.

And of course by faaaaar the worst thing when it comes to video game cartoons I watched as a kid:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCaWI8_3VLU

The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog

Did they try to rip off the Looney Toons? I don't know, it's stupid and childish and it's one of the few cartoons that make me facepalm myself

I guess honorable metnion should go to the Super Mario cartoons, but I never really watched a ton of those, so someone else should talk about them.

And I know that this thread is about shitty stuff we watched as kids, but here's a show that was awesome amazing and still stands well :P

The line between awesome and ridiculous is quite blurry in this thread,

I was thinking the same. It started out with a bunch of terrible stuff, but then people have been posting good stuff that has aged ok.

I remember watching both of these, but I've absolutely no recollection of what they were about.

you can youtube the centurions cartoon. http://youtu.be/hIajdXHRmJ4

Its a mech show where the technology combines with the person.

Think of it as a mixup of transformers/legos/M.A.S.K

The toy line was cool too, It was the in thing of the 80's. Transforming toys.

Eureekas castle was nickelodeon produced and was a kids show. not sure if it was by the jim henson co. but its very similar.

You resurrected some pretty awful theme-song memories with that picture.
Seems I'm not the only one that gets that theme song stuck in their head..

Did anyone else used to watch SwatKats That was one of my favorites back in the day..

Another one that few of my friends remember is Dragon Warrior. I used to wake up at 6 every Saturday so I could catch that show. Most of the time it was replaced with some stupid half hour long infomercial from a car dealer, but when I managed to actually catch the show, it was awesome.
