Agreed. And Larry Davis was good in Duckman in addition to Seinfeld.Stark wrote:UHF is Richards' best work anyway.BoneSnapDeez wrote:He's smart for laying low. It is two player. The two player vs. doesn't send junk to the other player when you clear more than one line, but it's still fun. It's also got coop Tetris, which turns out to be pretty fun. It sounded like a terrible idea to me, but it works very well. Each player controls a piece and the tetris field is twice as big.Hobie-wan wrote:Two player. Difficulty curve is slower so you don't just plain hit a wall at 180 lines where you can't even get the pieces over to the side if there's more than 4 lines of stuff there.mjmjr25 wrote:^ Elaborate. I've assumed the $30 price tag was a rarity thing, not performance.
The Tengen one is a port of the arcade version.
The main thing for me is, like Hobie-wan says, Nintendo Tetris becomes impossible fairly quickly. I've cleared 200 lines in Tengen Tetris and could probably keep going if I practiced.
The graphics are more colorful and it has a larger (and in my opinion better) selection of music.

I had the Tengen version as a kid and always preferred it to the Nintendo version as well. Wish I still had that cart.DinnerX wrote:It is two player. Is the food at SHEETZ any good? Must have been a line of twenty people waiting for food, at a gas station not getting gas.
Intriguing.

At the end of the day, I find old Tetris games like the GB or NES versions to be clunky and often unplayable after a certain point while Post-Worlds Tetris games are just pointless thanks to their infinite rotation schemes.
So I stick with Tetris The Grandmaster 2/3.

Don't want to pay for "In Case Shit Happens", and more than likely the 20-30 crowd will be paying to help old people who should have already been dead. And this is coming from someone whose Grandmother is dealing with congestive heart failure.
We already pay enough to live, and the govt already tells us what we can and can't do. This is a bit extreme to help get votes from the baby boomers and take money out of pockets to improve the economy.

My DK64 run is officially impossible, there's no way to do HH in 10 minutes. Now I need to think of a rule revision that's still difficult...
