I've honestly never had a problem with analog controls and third-person shooters, but then I never play those in multiplayer anyways. Generally the ones that make it to PC are console ports, and rather dreadful ones at that.

On the other hand I vastly prefer controllers when it comes to third person games, but for first person I can go either way.

I sort of think of Dual Analog for FPS games the way that I do D-pads for most arcade-style games. They aren't necessarily the best experience, but they are certainly passable and easy enough to master.

This could also go in the smile/ticked thread, but I don't want to list what did or did not make me smile; should be quite obvious.

So, can't say I don't believe in karma.

It is gorgeous outside today. Around 70 degrees fahrenheit with a slight breeze. After a morning full of yard work [shut it noise ;)] my wife suggested having a few cold ones and grilling out hotdogs for lunch.

Went to Wal-Mart to pick up supplies, which included Miller Lite (hey my wife likes it, and goes down like water). I place the case on the counter and the cashier says "You are going to have to move this for me so I can scan it" with an attitude as a bonus. With a friendly smile I asked, "Where do you want me to move it to?".

She replies, again with an attitude, "Duh. Where the bar code is". That got to me a bit, so with a teeny tiny snark I asked, "Would you like me to go ahead and get behind the counter and scan all my items and bag them too?". That's when she brought the wit and said "Sure. Looks like you don't have anything to do anyway".

That made me chuckle in a "kind of like your style" way. Complete bitch, but at least she had a comeback. I smile, say "Actually I have plenty to do today. Have you been outside? It is gorgeous." The response was "Do I look like I've been outside today?".

She doesn't load anything onto my cart, nor does she move the beer from the register. Now it is tit for tat time. I ask, "Please move my beer so I can grab it". She gave me a dirty look, so it is on. "I didn't pick this job out for you, you did. Please load my cart".

*stare down*

She finally picks up the case of beer, the handle breaks and at least 4 beer cans start spraying Miller Lite all over the floor, her station, and on her person. I simply said "Karma's a bitch.", grabbed another case and walked out with my receipt without incident.

Now I know no one wishes to be a wal mart cashier, but it is a paying job with benefits, so do your fucking job. I mean, at a hardware store with a huge purchase I'm more than happy to help scan an item, but this "woman" was just lazy. Hoping very much she didn't get to leave early because she had beer all over her, and I'm fairly sure if I contacted the manager she would be out of a job.

After reading that whole post, my immediate reaction is "Maintenance guy's gonna have to clean that shit up."

...that's probably because I am the maintenance guy, but still.

She suggested adding Image to the bottom of the bun, then top the dog off with mustard.

I love her.

Came across this picture that might be illuminating for those soda drinkers, especially those that like Big Gulp type drinks.
