Nice. I found a similar deal recently but it was a former Blockbuster rental and it had that horrible rental sticker on the top of the disc. I had to pass.Onyxthecat wrote:Strikers 1945 -disc and case but missing manual - $4

Also, if anyone was scratching his head at the picture with three copies of Batsugun, it's a long story, but I'm planning on selling two of them, and I think I've decided to sell Steam Heart's as well.
I will be merciful, but I'll have to ask you to sell me a copy of Batsugun at the price you paid plus shipping once you're home.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
It looks like they went to a comic con and snapped pics of the first two cosplayers they saw and slapped em on there. I could make an equivalant Shredder costume. Just have to prefect my "stick up the butt" walk and viola, marquee quality photo-op!prfsnl_gmr wrote:I love that game, and that is an awesome marquee in great condition!
That said, TMNT was a HUGE franchise when this game was released. You would think that the people designing the marquee could have come up with some more "professional" looking artwork for it. Don't get me wrong, I find the "this marquee looks like it was drawn and photoshopped by a ten-year-old" look very endearing - especially since I was close to that age at the time of the games release - but I would expect something that looked a little more official, such as stills from the comic or cartoon.
EDIT: Looking at it now...I really can't stop laughing at it. The proportions are all wrong, see, e.g., Michaelangelo's wildly mismatched legs, and the perspective is terrible, compare perspective of building in foreground with perspective of building in background. Moreover, why is the Shredder walking like that? And what exactly does Raphael hope to accomplish by clinging to the light post? I won't even get started on April...Basicly, this marquee is like the arcade equivalent of the Mega Man 1 box art, and I love it for that reason. In any event, this is a GREAT, GREAT find, and I am incredibly jealous. I would love to have one of these machines in my house someday.

Huh, what did you pay for Batsugun? Maybe I want the second copy!pierrot wrote:Hmmm, you drive a hard bargain, but you could have yourself a deal.Hobie-wan wrote:pierrot wrote:I was thinking of making a thread for this massive haul I'm trekking back from Japan with, but I noticed this thread and thought it might be a better place for it. So, what is the embarrassing story with Radiant Silvergun? Did you forget you already had a copy, and bought another by mistake? I've done that, but not with games that hover around the $100 mark (wow, did it get cheaper? I thought it was closer to $200 at one time!). Super Tempo has gone down a bit in price, too.
Stuff I found today:
Game Gear with Sonic, Sonic 2 and the Lion King- $13.96 (I will flip it for beer money)
Killer Instinct (SNES; loose)- $2.99
WCW Mayham (N64)- $2.99 (I want every N64 wrestling game if they are $3 or less

I payed about $60 for the one without a faded cover, and $55 for the one with. They weren't a good deal, and I almost went blue in the face trying to return them. (Stupid Japanese return policy BS... grumble, grumble.)Breetai wrote:Huh, what did you pay for Batsugun? Maybe I want the second copy!

As for Radiant Silvergun, I guess it's not extremely embarrassing, just embarrassing enough that I didn't really want to tell the story: I bought one on Amazon for about the going rate here. It ended up being in pristine condition, but didn't have the spine card. A week later I found it in a store with the spine card for $10 less than I payed for the first one. The part that really gets me is that I have two copies of a game that I could have just gotten on XBL, but somehow I had to own the physical copy. TWO in fact....
NIce GG find, by the way. The screen isn't too faded? I wish mine was pumping out something other than white on the screen these days.

Hmmm... that's not that bad. You can always sell one for a similar amount, or trade it for something you want. At least it has kept its value fairly well! If you got it as a downloadable, you don't exactly own it. With a physical copy, it is yours in every way.As for Radiant Silvergun, I guess it's not extremely embarrassing, just embarrassing enough that I didn't really want to tell the story: I bought one on Amazon for about the going rate here. The screen is perfect (although a few minor marks, but that's just the screen which is easily replaceable). It will replace my other GG with a slightly faded screen. I'll just have to get used to using a Genny model 2 PSU instead of a model 1 (the other GG is Japanese).NIce GG find, by the way. The screen isn't too faded? Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I know i'm going to get heat on this but last week a found a perfect copy of duck tales 2 for the nes for 2.99. I needed the money so i sold it for 80.00. The game was so clean that i did the q tip trick and the game was spotless. I hate myself for it but i bought myself a bike so i could ride with the kids. P.S this was my rarest find.
