I'd say that 3 is more like it; maybe 2 if you have flashcarts for them and a bunch of roms, to save on space for cartridges. As long as those three systems aren't a Microvision, a model 1 Lynx, and a Virtual Boy, you should be fine.
I can't believe Square Enix never remade Seiken Densetsu 3 for the DS/PSP. Seems like a no-brainer and easy cash-in title. Much more worthwhile than yet another Final Fantasy.

They ruined the Mana franchise with their 'World of Mana' revival. They would probably not be able to sell enough copies outside of Japan to make it worth their while.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I had to look up this "World of Mana" revival and wow.... four games in one year!
On a related note, I just picked up Heroes of Mana today. Looks like it got terrible reviews all around. Although, Children of Mana was panned by a lot of critics and I loved that game.
Finding myself drifting towards collecting retro PC games but trying to resist it a bit since it'll probably be a bigger money sink than even a nice Saturn collection.

I went to 4 locations today and they were dry. I know it's possible, thats how I got my Doom and Doom 2 box sets for 3 bucks each *really regret selling Doom 1 especially, since that seems to demand a high price now CIB with the poster and all*

Keep checking. I'm not all that big into PC gaming, but when I do find something I like (Phantasmagoria, Europa Universalis III, Medieval/Rome Total War Gold Edition) they're almost always complete, in excellent condition and cheap as hell.
