To be fair, mostly we have been focusing on the rest of the world bashing the US of A when there is a fair amount of that going on here at home.

A bit of not getting out of country, but also a bit of unwillingness to go and learn things themself. Its odd seeing how many people don't understand how good we really have it here. I mean, we really have nothing to talk about compared to somewhere like China or North Korea. I've seen North Korean history books.... its horrible.

The Euro lost A LOT of ground the last few months. Make no mistake about that. There was a moment you would get 1.60USD for 1 Euro. Now less than 1.25 again. Shit, buying games in US dollars on eBay isn't all that interesting anymore... :/

Only about the richest 0.5% of society opposes the current public health care system in my country. Even quite many rich people publicly admit that they like it. Can't say that I've had any bad experiences so far. I'm kinda jealous at how cheap things can be in the states, but I do value cheap education and healthcare over buying more games and cheaper sports cars because of the general safety and stability it creates to society (very low crime and violence rates, your life and economy wont get ruined if you happen to loose your job the same time you get diagnosed with cancer)

Also, I'll point out the horror stories I've heard about places with free healthcare. A gunshot victim I know of waiting 14 hours before even seeing a nurse, people dying waiting on those with lesser problems, etc.

Do you believe every lie you hear? The rampant ignorance and deliberate dumbing down of the populace is why Texas gets such a bad rap.

I would certainly like to hear where exactly that happened from a better souce than "this one guy who says he's from Europe said it on the internet once"

I'm fairly certain there are nations with even less healthy lifestyles than ours. After all, we're a lot closer to the top of the pile in terms of life expectancy than the bottom.

Because they are too busy dying in wars and such. In rich countries we can afford to keep morbidly obese people with all kinds of lifestyle diseases (STDs, diabetes, cancer, all the health problems relating to obesity etc) alive with advanced medicine. That doesn't mean that the people who are popping 20 different pills a day for their self caused diseases could be considered healthy. Although people in many third world countries aren't exactly healthy either, but the reason why they get sick is usually lack of nutrition and pollution, rather than drinking, smoking and eating themselves sick like we here in the West do... except in the ones where there is no regulations what so ever when it comes to smoking
