What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Worst comedy of the year? It's up there.
Ugh, I could only watch half of that trailer.

Isn't Olivia Munn famous for pretending to like video games?
She was on G4TV, but it wasn't a video game show. It was Attack of the Show which is a terrible talk show that sometimes has a story or two about geek stuff like genre movies or the latest viral video. Munn's job was to play a dumb bimbo that Kevin Pereira could make fun of and G4 could dress up in slutty outfits. They have since replaced Olivia Munn with a blonde that does the same thing.

^ That pretty much sums it up. The most amusing thing she did on that show was the Wonder Woman skit. The only thing I enjoyed about that show was the Gadget Corner (I'm sure that's not what it was called), but it wasn't really worth watching the rest of the show just for that.

Will Bane break Batman's back early in the film (or at all) and do you see hints of the "breaking of Batman" in the trailer?
It's a complete toss up at this point I think. I suppose it's possible, but I don't see it happening early in the film.

We have seen an apparently injured Bruce Wayne, and we've also seen that teaser poster with the broken bat-mask and Bane in the background... I'm assuming he's going to be beaten and probably injured at some point, though I don't know if he'll get his back broken.

Of course, I've never read Knightfall, so I don't really know, but given the way Nolan seems to use bits and pieces of comic stories, I don't think it'd help me all that much to know anyway. Batman Begins uses a lot of cues from Year One, and The Dark Knight borrows some ideas from The Long Halloween, but I don't think having read either of those would help you know what's happening in those respective movies.

I love the 89 batman but its not due to nostalgia. I of course saw bits and pieces over the years but was never really into batman as a kid. I didnt see the movie from beginning to end until after batman begins. I just love the style of it and the vagueness of why bruce does this. I prefer begins and that whole origin story, but I like the idea of a guy who does this just because hes kinda fucked up.

Batman returns was a mess, but if you dont go in for a batman movie, its actually really entertaining.

As far as bales over the top batman voice, go watch begins again. It was perfect. Dont know why nolan messed it up in the sequels.

His "Bat Growl" is due to the suit.

PROMETHEUS

I think Pulsar is wrong about this one in a big way, but to each his own. Let's spoil the hell out of this later, but for now a one word review:

Weird.

This had me laughing fairly hard:

Just kinda clearing this up, I didn't intend to make it sound like I was claiming that people like it due to nostalgia, I was just thinking that it was one of those "you had to be there" kinda things to really appreciate it.

And Bale's over-the-top voice doesn't really bug me much, but it did sound a lot better in Begins.

I don't like it for nostalgic reasons, but I'll admit to seeing in the theaters as a kid and collecting everything Batman during that period.

There is something about Blu-Ray and HD tv that really changes the way a show or movie looks. Very fluid. Fluid to the point that it reminds me of live shot soap operas; it looks so real that it reminds you it's all fake. That said BATMAN looks incredible on Blu-Ray.

To me it is a near flawless film (damn you harness wires and shoddy models) that I can watch and enjoy at the drop of a hat. The performances are perfect, the music is arguably Elfman's best, and Kim Basinger is simply astonishing.
