Do you like anime?

Personally I can't stand it and think it's lame as shit. Nothing against people who are into it of course, if that's your thing, that's cool. However, I feel that anime is too lacking in subtlety and has way too many cliches.
Why such an obsession on schoolgirl uniformed characters and adolescent protagonists? Why is there always some sort of annoying anthropomorphic character? In a child's show that would be fine but even the dark, violent serious animes have this crap. Most annoying is when you have schoolgirls who are secretly robots, katana wielding demon hunters, or secretly 1000 year old vampires. Fucking stupid!

Why does the animation always blow? When people talk the only thing that moves are their mouths and it seems most of the time I'm just looking at a still picture.

Anime to me feels pretentious and takes itself way too seriously for how wacky and silly it all is.
A comedic anime might be a good idea but it seems like the humor in anime is always about perverted things like people accidentally getting their face stuck in some schoolgirl's clevage. Why can't the humor ever have any kind of satire or social criticism?

In short, I guess anime is just not my style.

lol, i can watch it, but i cant say i really follow anything in particular.

I tend to watch the anime movies but not the shows.

Kinda embarassing, but i when i was younger i used to follow Sailor Moon hahaha

You know when I was younger I used to follow Dragonball Z too, only the Japanese version with English subtitles though since the English dub is friggin TERRIBLE.

You know, even though it's a crap show it's still kind of badass. Only anime I have ever watched where I have gotten some entertainment.

Some people have recommended Naruto to me but that shit looks completely fucking lame. Seriously, is THIS guys supposed to be a NINJA?!

I have tried to get into Naruto and was actually pretty good for a bit, I just couldnt seem to move on into it. I think it has something to do with main characters being kids.

If it was years back during the time of power rangers and sailor moon, im sure id would be on it like white on rice.

Even though i dont follow Naruto, the game series is pretty badass.
