I find nothing to relate to in that show. The people I know are nothing like the group of teens, I've never touched pot, I'm not all that into music, and the parents are nothing like mine. Maybe I'd find it funnier if it reminded me of my life, but as it is it's just an average sitcom.BurningDoom wrote:Because it was hilarious. So what have you guys been watching lately?

Yeah, I don't understand how anyone could not find that show funny. Sometimes I think some of us try too hard to look smart in this thread.BurningDoom wrote:Because it was hilarious. I'm not trying to be smart. The first time I saw that show, I knew nothing about it except that it was made in the 90s but set in the 70s, so I wasn't going in wanting to dislike it. I just don't find it all that entertaining.Gamerforlife wrote:Yeah, I don't understand how anyone could not find that show funny. Re: So what have you guys been watching lately?
Last weekend I finally sat down and watched all of Gurren Lagann. I've had the complete series for DVD for a long time now and have just kept procrastinating until I just said "Screw it, time to watch".
Anyway, I thought the show was really cool! I don't watch a whole lot of anime, so I was pleasantly surprised.

I'm not and never have been a pothead, and I still find That 70s Show to be pretty damn hilarious.

Re: So what have you guys been watching lately?
I've started watching my favourite television show of all time from the beginning once again:
KUNG FU (<--holy smokes that's an amazing price)

This time my girlfriend is watching it with me and she's loving it
I've got all three seasons on DVD and we're halfway through the first so we've still got another 55 hour-long episodes to go
Luckily the show only gets better as it goes along

Re: So what have you guys been watching lately?
I was just implying that it seems like the sort of show people like to bash to look smart because its comedy is fairly simple and accessible compared to something like, say, Community or maybe Arrested Development. I was being a little troll-ish there. Don't mind me guys. It's cool whether one likes the show or not.BoringSupreez wrote:@Gamerforlife: were you being sarcastic or not?
I'm glad AppleQueso and BurningDoom enjoyed the show as much as I did

I watched a lot of That 70's Show, but it certainly wasn't for the comedy.
