So what have you guys been watching lately?

The finale felt like an epilogue. I liked it. It resolved various things, and set things up for next season. It wasn't nearly as epic or memorable as last week's episode, but I think it did what it needed to do as a proper season finale. This show really wouldn't work on a network or regular cable channel. There simply wouldn't be enough time for this story with constant commercial breaks. Just look at this week's episode and how much stuff they had to cram in.

I like to think of this episode and last week's episode as one whole story. The last scene this week almost made the hair on my neck stand up. It made me think of a certain other popular show I like to watch.

Every once in a while I like to plow through a TV series on Netflix. I just finished That 70s Show. A really not so great show that I enjoyed watching for whatever reason. Somebody needs to put their foot in my ass.

Agreed. Amazing TV!

And since this is like every othe HBO show I've ever liked...we now get to wait at least a year for more episodes!

I've watched several episodes on a local station lately, usually waiting for better stuff to come on. I don't know why it was popular.

Good looking actors and actresses that had serious chops.

That, and a lot of bouncing boobs.

So what happened to the Fresh Prince and Lisa?

I need to know. They're getting married, and all of a sudden she seems to be written out of the script.

I just finished the first season of Big Love, which has really helped me decide that polygamy is not for me. Great show.

S5 Finale:
Will and Lisa's wedding day looms, with both families preparing for their children's big day. However, love soon blossoms between other members of each family - including Vy (Will's mother) and Fred (Lisa's father). When Vy announces that she is to marry Fred, the announcement causes the split of Will and Lisa, and it is implied that Vy and Fred get married although it is not shown. Will and Lisa agree to not get married, and just before credits, a number of girls spread the word that "Will is back on the market". However, Will appears and tells everyone watching not to get too excited.

Sounds familiar.

I guess the "we can still be friends" mantra applies to sitcoms as well. A split is a split.

Because it was hilarious. And personally, a lot of what they do reminds me of my teenage years, which I'm sure I'm not alone on that. And no, I didn't grow-up in the 70s, it was the late 90s that I was a pot-head teenager.
