I actually started playing Oracle of Seasons too. How did I forget about this badass?

You've overtaken me already! I've just beaten Mt. Ordeals. Bored of having so many mages all the time.
You get Yang and Cid join up with you soon though right?
I forgot how quickly the story moves in this game. You barely get to use characters before they're taken away from you. I've already had and lost
Kain, Rydia, Tellah, Edward, Rosa and Yang
, and I know that I'm due to lose
Tellah, Palom and Porom
soon from previous attempts to play through the game.

@Sabrage - Ricky is awesome, my favourite of the 3. I ended up with Moosh the flying blue bear instead though. At least it wasnt Dimitri.

I don't even remember this game at all, except for the parts where I got stuck as a kid. I'm not missing anything but I'm always thinking "Yeah, I remember getting pissed at this part." I think it might be the hardest non-NES Zelda game, along with Ages.

I remembered more than I expected for having not played the game in 8 or more years. I know Ages better than Seasons though.

I definitely prefer Ages, but I managed to grab Seasons first.

Ha, I wasn't trying to rush, believe me. The game just kinda grabbed me and wouldn't let go. Things get very interesting from the moment you first get to Damcyon.

I get tired of the mages too. Of course, the way the game cycles through characters, its no surprise that there are so many, so you've pretty much always got a magic slinger with you.

You're right though, the story does move crazy fast.
For instance, I knew about Cecil becoming a Paladin, but I didn't think it would happen so quickly! While I'm on that though, now he too is part mage. I do like him as a Paladin, and he's even better now at being a "tank" than he already was thanks to Cover, but I really miss having Dark. It was a handy move.
As for the other two:
Yeah, you get Yang back when you first get back to Baron. Then you have a very annoying underground dungeon while you proceed to the castle, and after that's when you lose Palom and Porom, but gain Cid. I've had him for such a short time at this point that I haven't even used him in battle yet. Right now I have him, Yang, and Tellah hanging about.

I wanna make a list too! I'm honestly not sure how well I'll do, but I think simply posting this list will give me some motivation to complete at least a few of the titles. After much deliberation (read: a few minutes of kinda thinkin bout it) I've settled on this list.

1. Fatal Frame-PS2 (been stuck at the end of Night 1 for a long time and really want to finish it)
2. Ico-PS2 (I hear nothing but good things and I want to beat this one before SotC)
3. Resident Evil-GCN (I've played 4 and I want to know the origins of the series before playing any more)
4. Mario Kart Wii-Wii (My only wii game for my new wii so I want to unlock all the characters for parties)
5. Tomb Raider-PS (I LOVE Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine and I hope this has a similar feel)
6. Timesplitters-PS2 ( I have the trilogy and want to play through the whole story)
7. Metroid Prime-GCN (I mean...if it's the best Gamecube game ever I definitely need to play it)
8. Indigo Prophecy-PS2 (I've been wanting to play it and seeing it on all of you guys' lists has inspired me)
9. Fallout-PC (Again saw it on all your lists and I just beat Fallout 3 the other day so I'd like to see the origins of the series)
10. Kingdom Hearts-PS2 (I'm stuck near the end, but I really hate this game so I never finished but I really want to finish it off)

Again, I don't feel bound by this list but I think having this thread to report back to will help make some progress through my backlog. Any advice on any of these titles? Happy Gaming!

Interesting. I liked Seasons more myself because it was easier to navigate, but Ages... the overworld(s) were like dungeons in themselves and it just had some super annoying level design at times. Like the Goron mountains? omfg. That said it was still a great game, blows Minish Cap and all the other handheld games since then out of the water...

great list dood! Not sure about advice, but here's some comments. :P

Ico - is amazing. Shadow of the Colossus is one of my absolute favorite games ever. I played Ico myself earlier this year and loved it. It's not as good as SOTC in my opinion, but it's still excellent. And probably close to as emotional as SOTC. And it's actually pretty short. I think I finished it in 6 hrs if I remember.

Indigo Prophecy & Fallout are both on my list this year, so feel free to bounce comments/questions/tips/etc off of me throughout the Summer. :D

----------

So by the way, I fired up Super Fighter today and it's... not a very good game. We'll see how it goes, but my first impression is that I'm pretty let down.

So I just defeated Cagnazzo, and I'm on my way to Troia too.
Ironically, now that I'm finally free of the mage overload, I miss having tem around - they were just starting to get usable now I don't have them in my party. I'll particularly miss having Palom around, because his Bluff skill is ridiculous - I just Bluffed a few times against Cagnazzo whilst Cecil and Yang smacked it about and the other two healed, then released a thundara for the win, which did over 3000 damage. I'll miss Porom's superior healing too, Tellah sucks. Apparently the higher level Tellah gets to, the LOWER his stats get, which is amusing, but annoying
