So what have you guys been watching lately?

Just watched Fringe season 3's finale. Or how to fuck up a perfectly good series...

Hmm, well you can't really say that until you've seen season 4.

Not that you aren't right. Just premature.

Ever miss out on a sitcom when it first aired, then fell in love with it after you caught a few re-runs? According to Jim is not that show.

Anyone know the name of the beer that is in countless sitcoms? Heisler?

Just now hearing about "hatfields and mccoys" mini-series on History. Anybody planning to watch? Is this History's first foray into non-documentaries?

I actually thought it was going to be a documentary, and that the commercials were just hyping up the drama of the story. I mean most of their documentaries usually feature actors playing out parts of the story anyway.

I think season 4 turned out well for the most part, but they really did take an odd turn with that season. Not quite sure why they went in the direction that they did. I enjoyed the finale though. Nikita blew every season finale I've seen so far right out of the water though. That show is on such a roll right now it's not even funny. Though I'm prepared to be really impressed with the upcoming Game of Thrones season finale.

I usually mention them in the western animation thread, but Green Lantern and Young Justice have been stellar. Green Lantern is quickly becoming one of the most epic cartoons on TV, and I'm not even a Green Lantern fan. This show is making me one though

I've been watching a whole lot of Stargate SG-1 reruns. I really didn't pay attention to this when it was new because at the time I was so spoiled by the likes of Star Trek TNG & Voyager, Sliders, Quantum Leap, Seven Days, Farscape, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and other great sci-fi shows of the 90s. I really should have paid more attention to Stargate SG-1. What a great series, and it's so sci-fi. It's not trying to be cool, modern, or pander to any crowd; it's just straight sci-fi. Something I miss in modern genre shows. I'm loving exploring this new universe of Gouald, Asgardians, Stargate Command, and other alien races.

I did watch Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe, but those came later. I loved those shows, but by the time those were on, and I checked out SG-1 as a result, it had the leftover cast from Farscape and it wasn't the same show at all. I remember that cast didn't appeal to me (despite being a big fan of Farscape). Now that I have a taste for the show, maybe it'll be different this time around when I finally get to that cast.

So who saw that epic Game of Thrones episode last Sunday? I think I know what they saved up this season's budget for

Epic battle! Probably one of the most epic battles I've ever seen on a TV show. This was Lord of the Ring's Helm's Deep done for TV

Ep. 209 of Game of Thrones was so good. I don't know how they're gonna top that, but I'm excited for the
House of the Undying.
Bob's Burgers is not very good. I won't be watching more than the 10 minutes I did. Adult Swim's Eric Andre Show is actually surprisingly entertaining, despite my initial cynicism.
