How rare is the 3D control pad for the Sega Saturn?

So you're saying the Japanese version is common but the US version is rare. I see, that's kind of like with Burning Rangers. US version is pricey but the Japanese version is cheap. I have the US controller so that's cool.

The US one is also common as #$%@. It's nothing special that you have one. They are nice, but not worth bragging about. Neither is Panzar Dragoon Saga for the record. It's semi-rare/uncommon (not "rare", by definition), but if you have the money to burn it is easy to buy. It's worth showing off I guess... but plenty of people on this site have a copy.

Also as breetai said, rare and expensive are different things, final fantasy 7 costs more than heaps of rare games, doesn't make it rare.

FF7 is one of the most overpriced games in comparison of how common it actually is probably.

For an honest answer (that has been said already in some form or another). the 3D Pad is harder to find in some places of the US where the Saturn was pretty low in sales (such as my neck of the woods), but slightly uncommon would be slightly pushing it. The controller simply isn't rare, that is all there is to it.

Ok, the 3d control pad being rare is debateable, I'll conceded that. However how can you say the ultimate holy grail of the Sega Saturn, Panzer Dragoon saga is not worth bragging about? It sure is worth bragging about if you're a game collector. There may be a few games more valuable/rare like Air Raid on the Atari 2600 and Nintendo World Championships but not many.

Panzer Dragoon Saga did have a rather small print run, but it was still several thousand. So yes, it is a relatively rare US release, but in the grand scheme of gaming it isn't the holy grail.
