How rare is the 3D control pad for the Sega Saturn?

OP, for the record, you are a manlier looking guy than me. I've slacked on working out for years now and my pecs just are not as awesome as they once were. I've also lost my ads and have a bit of a gut instead. You definitely have me beat there. You might even have more games than me. I don't have Suikoden II on the PS1. In fact, I've only played through the first one (I do like it).

BUT... I have Super Tempo on the Saturn and you don't. It's worth as much as Panzar Dragoon Saga is, depending on the time of year, except it is even HARDER to find. Therefore, I WIN!

Also, your lack of PC Engine games is saddening.

After the regular pads, it is easily the most common Saturn perpetual. Since the Saturn was about 7% as popular as the PS1, you only see Saturn stuff less than 7% as much as PS1 stuff (collectors keep the percentage lower; keeping Saturn items off the used market). Still, there are tons of 3D pads out there. I'm just talking North America.

Go to Japan. There are literally boxes of them in stores, on the floor, for sale for $1-5 each. You can get them in perfect condition boxed for $5-10 if you shop around.

So you're saying the Japanese version is common but the US version is rare. I see, that's kind of like with Burning Rangers. US version is pricey but the Japanese version is cheap. I have the US controller so that's cool.

Honestly, everything on the Saturn is more uncommon than the Japanese version, because the Saturn was actually, you know, successful in Japan.

Why are you so determined to prove how 'great' your collection is or prove that you own a 'rare' accessory? You're not impressing anybody here, you know. It's kinda annoying.

I'm not really trying to impress anyone. I just kind of felt like people were dogging on my controller, and the 3d controller is pretty special to me so I felt I had to speak up for it.

Let me guess: you bought it back when the Saturn was still new or something and have had it since then? Something like that?

I feel your need to defend the controller, I really do (it helps that its an awesome controller) but it is very common.

I have a boxed 3d controller, that I purchased in the same lot as a complete copy of Nights. I paid 25 bucks (shipped) for the whole lot on ebay a couple of years ago.
