It automatically scrubs information from Google and lists it until you request a takedown. You're probably on there, too.

Well, I wouldn't lose sleep. It is what it is. I mean, 40 years ago we could find a name and address via Directory Assistance, if wanted. With the amazing advancements (satellite imaging, skype, internet, etc) i'm sure every speck of information about us is available to someone very motivated. I wouldn't waste time trying to make sure some website i've never heard of has inaccurate/accurate/or any other information on me. If that site was able to find it, anyone else could too, if they desired.sabrage wrote:It automatically scrubs information from Google and lists it until you request a takedown. We take the good with the bad. Oh well.

It's one of maybe three sites on Google that even has my name, and I've already sent requests some of the others. I'm sure the general Facebook-using populace doesn't give a shit about their privacy, but I do.

Nah, not really, most people care about privacy, some to a great great extent, but most also realize there just isn't much you can do about some things.sabrage wrote:It's one of maybe three sites on Google that even has my name, and I've already sent requests some of the others. It's sorta like trying to keep water from Lake Michigan from mixing with the water in Lake Huron, it just isn't possible at this point. So, you can run out there with a paper cup and a lot of want, or you can realize it is the new reality.
Re: Random Thoughts Thread
If it doesn't bother you, that's fine. I'm certainly not trying to convince anyone that it's not the status quo or that they should even care. But that doesn't make it alright with me.

Metroid Prime is just too damn good, even after all these years.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

That's the game that got me into the series and the reason why I still own a GCN, haha.

If you can, try the wii version. It feels so much smoother and fluid.Sideroller wrote:Agreed.Flake wrote:Metroid Prime is just too damn good, even after all these years.![]()

It just blows my mind how much thought they put into the game. This is the first time I've played through it where I am actually bothering to read all the lore. Retro ties it in to the original Metroid so well and I am starting to see a lot of the plot elements of the third prime game being laid out already. Probably the second one, too, though I have never given that a fair shake.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
Maybe I'll have to try Prime again someday. It never really caught a hold of me, but every time I play it I feel like it should. Weird.
