You probably won't hear from him for quite a bit longer. He dropped off the face of the earth over a year ago and he hasn't been heard from since (at least, not on the internet). He used to have a very good reputation, but his personal life apparently got a bit troubled and he burned a few good folks while he neglected his repair/mod obligations.

That's not the first time this has happened.

He did it a few years ago and left a lot of people hanging for months and months until he finally got his stuff sorted out.

I got email from him a couple months ago, though, so you saying a year isn't exactly true. Maybe he selectively replies?

I'm simply speaking as a denizen of another forum in which he participated actively. I'm pretty sure he's been largely out of contact with that forum for about a year, at least.

I know he screwed over (at least temporarily) a lot of people over at either Digital Press or Assembler (I forgot which... maybe both?). He responded to me a couple times since around Christmas.... but he would be weeks at the minimum. He didn't respond to my last email, but I haven't pushed him either.

At any rate, buy from him at your own risk.

I really hope he finds a way to make amends and doesn't just move on and leave the messes behind. He seemed like a good enough guy when he had time and attention to give to his various on-line communities.
