I guess it's cheaper to make this and than animation the old fashioned way
I mean, Korgoth looks hand drawn, like a dark 1980s Dungeons&dragons inspired cartoon or something like that. It has some really beautiful artwork and I love the color palette/visual look the show has. Compare it to Family Guy, Regular Show and all this computer animated crap (visually, doesnt mean they are necessarily bad shows) we have today.
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

You guys are only excited for the name alone and nothing else, its really just Adult Swim with old colors restored as it once was, many of your reactions is based on your views with Rose-tinted glasses, I hate to break to you, you will not see Dragon Ball Z, Gundam Wing, Tenchi Muyo, Outlaw Star, Ronin Warriors, Sailor Moon, and so on, and so on, because Adult Swim has since then lost most of the rights to play most of your favorite shows.
Besides, most of the shows I mentioned above HAVE a DVD release, and they are all uncensored...yes, you hear me... uncensored, we can hear Hiro say to Relena that he would "Kill her" instead of "Destroy her", or we can watch the 4th episode of Tenchi Muyo...where the jokes actually made a lot more sense.
If you can't afford DVDs and decide not to help and support Japan and there shitty economy, but instead waste all your money building your costumes, getting a hotel room, and paying for a 3 day pass to your favorite con, you can always download it since all the cool kids are doing it anyway.
Ok, I am done ranting here, but to sum it up all, the NEW Toonami is just going to be the same ole Saturday night Adult Swim, with the Toonami name for marquee value.
Good day.
"TOONAMI - Beginning Saturday, May 26, Adult Swim brings back Toonami, the network's popular block of anime programming. Airing weekly from midnight to 6 a.m. (ET/PT), in addition to the return of previous series featured in Toonami, Adult Swim is also developing new original anime programming for fans."
what part of in addition to the return of previous series featured in Toonami did you not under stand?
I understand that, but whats the point? I have most of the series on DVD anyway, and I can watch it whenever I feel like it, instead of waiting for a certain time to watch it.

The point is not everyone can afford or wants to spend the money to get them on DVD. I would much rather watch episodes of Zoids Chaotic century(the first one in Japan) on TV then spend almost 100 dollars on one DVD.(just a example, should have bought them years ago when I got new century on DVD, much cheaper back then)

Then don't watch it. Your situation doesn't apply to everyone and is not a good example of why having quality programming is a bad/pointless thing.
Looking at the schedule, and assuming they don't change it, it looks like they're keeping Bleach, FMA: Brotherhood and Cowboy Bebop. They've got 3 time slots not filled in yet. I won't be surprised if they do decided to keep those: Bleach is ongoing, Brotherhood is only in it's second full run, and Bebop is, well, Bebop. If the schedule is partially accurate, I guess they really don't want to get rid of it. They're probably clinging to that one for dear life
Update: Adult Swim's entire anime schedule for early morning May 27 is as follows:
12:00 a.m. - Bleach
12:30 a.m. - Deadman Wonderland
1:00 a.m. - Casshern Sins
1:30 a.m. - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
2:00 a.m. - Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG
2:30 a.m. - Cowboy Bebop
The schedule then repeats between 3:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m.
DeMarco added that Toonami will not be showing Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, and similar titles since "the rights to those shows are owned by our competition or are out of our price range." He continued, "Something you should know about THIS Toonami: We have very, very little $$. This experiment will need ratings success to receive more funding for new shows, more [mascot character] Tom animation, etc. I'm thankful for the $$ we've gotten, but it isn't a lot."
DeMarco also clarified Adult Swim's May 16 press release, which said that the network is developing "new original anime programming" for Toonami's return. Toonami will not have original titles created specifically for the programming block, "just new acquisitions." DeMarco said that he personally "love One Piece and would love to see it on CN again" along with Gundam Wing. Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, Fairy Tail, and Inuyasha: The Final Act are some of the "many shows we've been looking at" or discussed.
DeMarco confirmed that Steven Blum will reprise his role of Tom, which "will be an updated hi-res version of Tom 3.0" aboard a slightly different but almost identical version of the spaceship Absolution. However, the character Sara will not appear for now ("costs too much to make"), and Peter Cullen will not be the voice of the block's promos due to his busy work schedule. The anime titles will keep their theme songs, and Toonami "will make our own 'pre' intros."
Well glad they added something we haven't seen for the last 7 years to the schedule!
AS always says the same shit "We don't have the money and the views aren't there, no one watches Anime " we all apparently just ask for it but no one tunes in. I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that the keep showing the same shows everyone has watched 15 times over and probably a small sum own on DVD by now...noooo...couldn't be that.
It be like if a movie theater kept showing the same 5 movies for 10 years and wonders why people don't come anymore.
