Lenkeng Deinterlacer/scaler

So I bought a Lenkeng LKV361, supposed to be an S-Video to HDMI converter. Well I think that's what I bought, what I got had a button for selecting between 1080P/720P and none of their products show that on their website.

Anyways, the problem is the video is stretched to wide-screen when converted.

Anyways, I just realized that a lot of systems have RGB out of the box so I was going to get rid of this and get one that uses RGB instead.

Does anyone else have experience with Lenkeng converters or the other cheaper HDBoxPro and can tell me if it also stretches the image to widescreen? Or is there something else, like 720P/1080P has to be widescreen and I should instead just get something that outputs 480P?

I am assuming the XRGB3 doesn't have this problem, with all their settings and configurations that there's probably a place to turn that off (assuming, someone else can tell me).
