it's pretty great. I beat the first three levels on Normal (with a single credit), and then was told you had to play at a higher difficulty to progress further then that. But yeah gameplay is solid -- reminds me of Espgaluda, Dragon Blaze, etc. Which is good! And the music is phenomenal, so I'm glad I grabbed the deluxe edition with soundtrack (though I haven't figured out where Steam downloaded the soundtrack to yet...?). Oh and a small thing, but I love easy they made controller customization right from the game menu itself: basically just asks you which buttons you want to use for what. So simple, but that's a lot easier than screwing around with joy2key etc to configure an arcade stick.

I'm not big on PC gaming generally, but there are some exclusives that i've been intrigued by. I tried Crimson Clover and just couldn't get into it. Jamestown is the other I wanted to try. What did that run you?

Base price is $10. It's set to go on sale next week, I'd expect at least a 50% discount.

Oh, I hate being the nooooooob. So, it's STEAM only? Not a physical release like Crimson or other Doujins?

There was no physical release of any sort, no. It was included in one of the Humble Bundles so a DRM-free version might be floating around, but Gamersgate's page says it requires Steam so I don't know where you would buy that at this point.
