Before you do eBay, I would strongly recommend you feel things out in the B/S/T forum here. Avoid fees and saves a lot of hassle. There is feedback on all members that is tracked in the stickied thread.

But is it okay to sell that? I mean, I would not sell backups or anything, but the modded consoles would definitely go.
Would it be better just to not say anything at all?
As far as eBay goes, I have no idea. If you're selling through forums, definitely state what you're selling, and there's never a problem with it. A modded Saturn is actually more valuable than a regular Saturn, since it has the chip and the labor that went into soldering.
I was thinking that I just wouldn't list any backups I had, and just include them in the box with a note or something. I wouldn't try and take them into account on the expected value or anything, but I would want someone to enjoy them instead of being thrown out.
Very nice of you! You're right that they're worthless, but to include them for free is a nice thing to do.

I think I will! I've been going through a few threads to see the best way to handle things. And this place is a little more likely to appreciate the stuff as single items. Hope to finish organizing and taking photos this weekend.

Thanks! Glad ya like it. Be sure to check out the Trendmasters folders - there's some particularly cool stuff in there!
Love the avatar, by the way.

Do note that there's a probationary period here for new members before they can sell. It's only two weeks.

Ouch. Makes sense, though. Guess it'll depend on how much of a rush I'm in over the next few days. Thanks for the heads up.

Well, if you do stick around, we're all very eager to see your wares. Things will get sold, too. Thousands of items are sold through this site, especially if things are broken up. You can check out the feedback thread to get an idea of just how many things are sold here weekly. :D

Yeah, DEFINITELY put stuff up on here first. :)

Separating by console is also a great idea. It's a bit more work, but still very manageable. You'll also make more that way and possibly sell things faster.

You might also want to consider selling some of the more valuable games separately (something like Earthbound, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Radiant Silvergun, Sega CD Snatcher, etc.). This is another way to get more money without a ton of extra work.

You'd even be able to sell for a little less than current market value and still make profit *hint, hint*. :) I actually did that and don't regret it. It's amazing what comes back around to you down the road. I sold a cart of Earthbound and the strategy guide on here for $100 a couple years ago and I actually think it did me more good in multiple ways than if I would have charged $150 for it. Sites like this are really nice communities and people tend to help each other out when you're a legit nice guy (not that I don't act like a prick sometimes).

Well, I don't mean to get any hopes up. I was much more of a game player than collector. The "rare" items I have tend to be used carts in a universal case. Much of this stuff is heavily used. Only great pieces would be the Panasonic Q's and some used Docs Dreamcast wireless controllers, which have been showing up on eBay quite often, lately. Then there's a ton of Atari junk, Gamestop and Blockbuster close-outs, and pawn shop consoles and accessories.

Have most of the accessories and cables sorted. Need to locate the rest of the consoles and double check for more accessories - I know there are a few controllers and remotes missing. I can barely walk in my house, now.
