Amidst all those "player" files you should see a .exe application somewhere. Mine is called this:
ƒ”ƒ@ƒ“ƒK[ƒhƒvƒŠƒ“ƒZƒX.exe

It's all crazy from not being able to show Japanese Kanji, I think.

I think it also screws up the game if you try to rename it, so I made a shortcut and renamed that instead.

Nope. You linked to the patch, I think. There's no executable anywhere.

I think the file I was using might have changed in that link over time. The name in that link now says vanpri108uspatch.7z, but what I used was called vanpri108uspatched.7z
The patchED version includes the full game already patched.

It should be about 370MB if you go searching for it online.

Terrordrome
(v2.7 - 2012)

This game has been around for a while, but is constantly being updated with new characters. The current 2012 roster is now up to 11 fighters. Built on the Fighter Maker 2 engine, this game looks like it could be a retail release. Of course the licensing would be a red tape nightmare. It combines two of my loves: horror movies and 2D fighting games.

Roster:

Ashley Williams from Evil Dead 2
Freddy Kruger from Nightmare on Elm Street
Jason Voorhees (classic) from Friday The 13th
Chucky from Childs Play
Ghostface from Scream
Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Michael Myers from Halloween
Tallman from Phantasm
Maniac Cop from Maniac Cop
Jason Voorhees (undead) from Friday The 13th
Candyman from Candyman

Same here. I think it vanished from the nets. Our only hope is for someone to reupload it somewhere.

Corpse Party -Rebuilt-
On December 17th, 1992, a Japanese group called ASCII released a program titled RPG Tkool Dante 98 for the Japanese exclusive home system known as NEC PC-9801 which allowed people to develop their own role-playing games. They further promoted their tool by publishing a monthly magazine titled LOGIN Sofcom where amateur developers could submit their creations. On April 22nd, 1996, an adventure game called CORPSE-PARTY was published in the Spring 1996 edition of LOGIN Sofcom No.6. It was made by a 22-year-old college student by the name of Makoto Kedouin, who typically stylizes his surname as Kedwin. On February 26th, 1997, Kedwin won second place in the Second Annual ASCII ENTERTAINMENT competition, netting him 5 million yen [$61,675.00 USD]. It'd be nine years before the world saw CORPSE-PARTY again. On October 3rd, 2006, a retelling of the Corpse Party story was released for the mobile phone under the title Corpse Party NewChapter. This new version would later be ported to the PC as Corpse Party BloodCovered and once again to the PSP as Corpse Party BloodCovered ...Repeated Fear.

During this time, an anonymous member of a Japanese message board took it upon himself to faithfully recreate the original PC-98 version of CORPSE-PARTY in RPG Tkool XP as CORPSE PARTY -Rebuilded-. Fast forward to April 22nd, 2012, an American group called "Memories of Fear" translated his RPG Tkool XP recreation of CORPSE PARTY and released it to the public as CORPSE PARTY -Rebuilt-. After 16 years, the English-speaking community can get a chance to experience the classic version of CORPSE-PARTY for the very first time

Abuse

Abuse was listed in that giant image of DOS games I recently posted. It's a classic and it's free if you use Desura (which is also free).
