No, I know...sorta. I was mostly just wanting ones I missed (PS1/2/3 mostly), and hopefully game lists / reviews on the ones I missed, I supposed I should know it would turn out this way - my bad for not being more crystal in the OP. All but one of those other threads is unorganized (meaning no one, OP? ever took the games listed and updated a master list...)

This was probably one of the most active threads we've had on the subject, and I'm glad to see mjmjr get TL2, and the advice and game lists here have been super-helpful so even if there was a dozen other threads on it I don't think this was a waste by any means. I saw the other threads and this was a bit more "in general" than the others.

Which console does the Midway Arcade vol1-3 sets play the best on?

Those look pretty good. Itching for Spy Hunter.

I've only played the GCN versions, and all were well done / enjoyable.

controls are kinda funky with that controller

I've heard the xbox versions are the least glitchy or something.

Hmm, it's been a bit since i've played them, but if iirc, most games were 2-button, mapped to A and B automatically. If yr an oxbox/ps2 person, then yeah, the GCN pad will seem awkward, but as a GCN only (during it's hey-day) gamer, it felt perfectly natural to me. I don't recall any glitches at all. It did take a bit longer than one would like to exit a game and get back to main menu, but not horrible by any means.

I just remember the fighters in MAT2 being especially awkward with the GC controller. Mortal Kombat II was almost unplayable

First off, how do you reply that fast?

Second, save Soul Calibur II, the natural mapping on ALL fighters for GCN was terrible and yes, awkward. That layout is definitely not conducive to fighters. I recall hating Capcom vs SNK 2EO for that reason, just awful.

So the point on MKII is likely spot on.

I'm looking for the MAT games on the GameCube for a definite purchase. I have them on the PC and they are nowhere near as good as Taito Legends 1 & 2.

MAT1 was a re-package of the Windows 95 ports of the original Williams Greatest Hits titles, grainy video interviews and all. Very difficult interface and no extra features for XP.

MAT 2 & 3 came in one package as MAT Deluxe. Again, very clunky and confusing interface, it shipped with a missing music bug upon release (patch was available) and it uses that awful StarForce DRM. In addition, the games themselves look very blurry and muddy and not as sharp as the TL series.

I'm hoping the GC titles are a bit easier to play. The game selections are all great, but I could not handle those menus and those graphics.
