Re: Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure - a surprisingly great gam
My daughter, home sick w/Pink Eye, decided to surprise me w/a pedestal display on the TV for our Skylanders. Hard to see, but each platform has an element or other theme...

"Pointy ears" theme on the left?

So that's what it is. My daughter got one of the tickets and mailed it in. She's waiting for her surprise to show up. She got it from a variety pack of Frito chips that we bought when we were the snack host for her soccer team.KDub wrote:Did you guys jump on the Flocked Stump Smash craze? http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=Sky ... 7.c0.m1950

I really like these guys and the $8 apiece is an ok price point - but all these LE's (Clear, Silver, Gold...and whatever ^that thing is...) I just don't get - I think people are seeing the initial craze and thinking some of these might have "1993 Beanie Baby" long-term value on the rares or something...but the numbers of specials and LE's is already way too high for that to happen long-term, imo.

My count is up to 28, so we will have a complete set here in a few months. Right before Giants comes out. Rumor is that they will raise the level cap on the original figures by putting them on the base and firing up Giants, but Ill wait to see how that works out. I did finally get the Legendary 3 pack. So I have all four of the Toysrus exclusives - which is why my hunt has slowed down.

Yep! I can't believe how much people are paying for them right now.gtmtnbiker wrote:So that's what it is. My daughter got one of the tickets and mailed it in. It must be due to people outside the US. Literally everyone who called the 800 number for the chance to win stump smash was a winner.

So I not big on these special editions, but guess who is getting the E3 exclusive Silver Spyro???
Now to get the sidekicks and the other dozenish characters we are missing. Oh, and maybe that Bestbuy exclusive multiplayer map.
