This is a fucking terrible game.

EDIT: The Coyotes seem very much to have taken to the idea that "we're getting blamed for it, we might as well do it". They are making a lot of hits intended to hurt people, they're completely off the ball and have no direction or discipline at this point. Phoenix fans are throwing trash onto the ice.

This is one of the worst hockey games I've seen in years.

Agreed. No class whatsoever. Hopefully we'll see a sweep and get this series over with.

That would be nice, especially since my wife wins a decent chunk of change if the Kings make it to the next round

I won't say the Kings were gentlemen in that game, but at least they showed discipline. I'm so disappointed in PHX, I've actually had a lot of fun watching them up until this point.

The Kings certainly played the "you're not going to get under our skin" game with pinpoint accuracy.

Here's hoping for LA vs. NY, which astonishingly could boost ratings.

Kings vs Devils for the Stanley Cup Finals, did anyone predict that at all!?

I was thinking the Sharks vs the Caps during the pre-season, at mid-season I was thinking the Preds vs the Bruins, at the beginning of playoffs it was Preds vs Pens.

Well, I will be rooting for the Devils, for Marty to have a chance to walk away from the top, and a couple of MN boys to bring the Cup to the State of Hockey (with one that Wild fans hope they can sign after Free Agency!). For the Kings, Carter and Richards will have the chance to prove naysayers wrong (and GM Holmgren dumb for ditching them to sign Bryzgalov! - should've wait and see, pick up Mike Smith instead); also a chance for everyone doing sometime what the Great One couldn't - to give LA its first ever Stanley Cup (sorry that Anaheim was the first CA team to bring the cup).

It should be an interesting series, and I do think it will go to 6 games and beyond, on paper I do say the the roster depth and coaching experience gives the King advantage; but I have been wrong.

Haven't seen any other replies to this thread, has this series bored people to death?

I think not, but if the Devils were to lose the next two games each within a goal, I see no shame in defeat, after all the Kings have a deeper roster than the Devils - Lou will need to make this team younger, as the Devils have highest player average age in the NHL (higher than the Red Wings!). I think coaching experience has given the Kings the edge so far, as DeBour hasn't been able to get more from his star players the first two games.

Haha, not as much to talk about with only two teams left. I guess I'm rooting for LA (who looks like they'll take it at this point), but to be honest I don't really care who wins. Richards is from near my home town, so I guess that's cool... kind of... but I don't really care.

I'm watching the games as a hockey fan, but have no real interest beyond that.

Quite a deflating loss for the Devils, I don't see them bouncing back to force a Game 7 down the road. Nice to see the Great One to show up, I'm guessing that Brown, Carter, and Richards will make sure that the Great One gets to see LA hoist its first ever Stanley Cup celebration on home ice on Game 4.

Anyone read the news on the Coyotes? In this downturn economy, I do not think government should pay anyone to operate a losing money business; look at the details, and it really doesn't make any logical sense. But the CBA has to be taken care of first.

I agree. Move the team to Quebec or somewhere. I'm dead serious. If they can't keep themselves afloat, WHY does the NHL insist that they stay where they are and bleed money in a market that doesn't care about hockey anyway?

Quebec, Saskatchewan, Hamilton, Seattle, Cleveland maybe... there have got to be a ton of better hockey markets than a freaking desert city in the south of the USA.

Well, how wrong I was on the Devils!?

The Kings better play a good transition game against the Devils - their roster depth doesn't mean anything against Marty; they will need to get some gritty goals early on. IF the Kings fail to wrap it up tonight (in front of the Great One!), then I think the Devils will win the Cup.

Regardless of the outcome, I do think Pual DeBoer should win the Jack Adams award for his work with the Devils, with Dave Tippet as the runner-up.

On the 'yotes, if you have read the latest news on how the deal was reach, you should feel disgusted: the city will pay the owner to run the team and facility, and owner will pay the city back later on -> pay you to pay me  I did propose a fair solution early on; but I do agree with some fans that Bettman will use the latest develop in Quebec (and pending on what goes on with Seattle) to call for an expansion - add two teams, one in the US and one in Canada, thus you can have 4 divisions with 8 teams each. But the CBA will the highest priority for this off-season.
