I am mildly notorious in my disdain and hatred for compilation sets.
However, my disdain has been replaced by a need to continue to thin out my collection as it consumes too large a footprint in my home.
As I acquire more (large) arcade boards, and other console LE's and the like, available space is squeezed even further.
I have been sourcing a "Metal Black" PCB for the SotM, but haven't found one for under $250, so I decided to get the PS2 "Taito Legends 2" disc so I would be able to play next month.
Just wow, this disc is loaded with excellent arcade games - I had no idea a lot of these games were ever ported at all, i'm sorta well, shocked.
I am wondering what other "good" compilations have been done. To note, I already have all the GCN compilations and all the Wii compilations.
So, I am looking for any I may have missed on:
PSX
PS2
PS3
X360
SAT-JP
Any help...would umm, help.

A lot of those are GCN repeats, assuming they are the same? Midway 1-3, Intellivision, Sonic Mega and I have the SGen Collection, Metal Slug Anthology for PS2 already.noiseredux wrote:PS2 has tons of great ones: Activision Anthology, Atari Anniversary, Intellevision Lives, Namco Museum 50th Anniversary, Taito Legends 1 & 2, Capcom Classics 1 & 2, Midway Treasures 1-3, SNK Arcade Classics, Sega Classics, Sega Genesis Collection, Sonic Mega Collection, Art of Fighting Anthology, Fatal Fury Archives 1 & 2, World Heroes Anthology, etc.
I think Atari is the same as the DC which I have, but i'll check on that too.
Those Capcom Classics look intriguing, will have to research game lists on those. Are they same/similar to the SAT-J Capcom Generation Compilations? I have 1-5 on those and they are very good.
I'll need to research the others though thanks!

That Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection is fantastic. I rarely play my Genesis anymore because it is just 10 times more convenient to pop in a disc rather than drag out an old console.

I've been seriously considering getting it simply based on the fact that it's cheaper than buying Shining Force II alone.Opa Opa wrote:That Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection is fantastic. Seriously, there are only about 6 or 7 titles that I'd want for Genesis that aren't on that collection, all Treasure and Technosoft games.
